Mike Zambidis wins WIPU world title

On 28 April 2012 in Athens, Greece, under the banner of leading Greek promoter SO FINE, K-1 Max super star Mike Zambidis fought against recognised Muay Thai fighter and number-eight world rated Fadi Merz for the vacant 70kg WIPU World Title under K-1 rules.

In front of 6,000 spectators in attendance and those watching on TV at home in Greece, Mike Zambidis won his title and joined other WIPU world champions such as Albert Kraus and Nathan Corbett.
