He is currently ranked no.9 in the 130lb division at Lumpinee stadium, If there is any Promoter's in Aussie looking for a good match up at 58kg - 59.5kg feel free to contact me, Below is an interview Stephen just did with Muay Thai news website Total Muay Thai, http://totalmuaythai.com/interview-w...-flama-blanca/ |

Stephen doing huge things on the MT scene at the moment. Probably would only find fights at 61-63 kg in Aussie though so may have to go up in weight

Thanks JWP ,
Hot Sizzle Stephen has a contract with Petchyindee promotions to fight in the 130lb division which is perfect for him, that's his best weight to fight at power wise, He would fight at 61kg max and your right thats where the good fights are in Aussie. He has a big fight against Zeeoui up next on the Muay Thai Warriors show in China, And there is talk of a fight with Pornsanaeh at 130lb after that. |

When Stephen was put against Ch 7 Champion Rungravee, it was widely considered a mismatch. Although he lost the fight he broke two of Rungravee's ribs. This led to a great deal of interest in the Irishman.
His next fight was against Kongnapa, which he won and earned a place in the rankings. 130 pnds is a strong division in Lumpini, with big names like Seanchai and Singdam, so he has a tough road ahead. I really like Steve's style, he's aggressive and will push forward, but never drops his guard or goes for the big shot. His main event fight against Kongnapa is one of the best Thai vs Farang clashes I've ever seen. Last edited by WaiKru; 28-10-2012 at 01:31 PM. Reason: embed youtube clip |
