Daniel 'The Inglorious Basterd' Geale.
Gets hardly any love from the mainstream press and takes world titles from long reigning German champions. |

Haven't seen the fight but he's done well to beat Sturm in Germany. Interesting how all 3 judges scored it 116-112 but two in Geales favour, 1 in Sturms. Was it that close that 4 rounds could have gone either way?

Daniel Geale did what Anthony Mundine could not, TWICE, and is now a bonafide superstar and a legit threat to the winner of the Sergio Martinez-Chavez Jr. winner, but he'll face a stiff test in Golovkin, another underrated middleweight who came up big this past weekend, before the year is out.
In other news, Austin Trout, the man Mundine claimed was a no-name and not worth fighting as a victory wouldn't land him a big fight, has scored a date with Miguel Cotto on December 1. Good call Choc. |

116-112 for either was wrong. The fight was much closer, although you would have thought it was a 120-96 if you watched the highlights on any Australian news service.

As much as I hate the boring / geeky personality of Geale, and his boring style - admittedly, he did well.
And as for Choc, wat a fk stick - If he dont land Money Mayweather, his legacy is tainted. |

Kostya Tszyu was the most boring fighter, personality wise, to ever hold a world title.
