The big Jasmine Parr thread (merged)

Yesterday we confirmed with Diablo gym that this two young warriors will fight on our show. Both girls are 22.5kg, Georgina Barton is 7yo with 1 fight and Jasmine is making her debut.
Since this fight is so important and also the anniversary of my fathers passing, we are going to donate money towards the Cancer council so everyone that comes knows money is going towards a good cause.
Jasmine my daughter is so excited, she has been bugging me for months to get a fight and now here we go.
This fight is going to bring the house down, I can't wait to see my little girl in action.

JW, seriously, how will you and Angie feel watching your own flesh and blood in there, it is I assume different to watching each other as you are adults, but watching your child, do you think it'll be different???

I got the heads up last night. Angie said its full thai rules, with throws and standing chokes allowed.
Waynes right, this is going to be the highlight of an already action packed show.

What rules do the kids fight under? rounds, pads etc?

Will be 3x1.5min, shin pads and big gloves. The ref will be watching close to make sure no one is injured. At this weight they can't really do much damage so hopefully all is good.
Little bit nervous but Jasmine has been sparring for a few weeks now and holding her own against little boys. If this doesn't steal the show, no idea what will top it, maybe me falling over the ropes in excitement.

I think it's a great idea. I dont know if you saw the doco on the young kids fighting in the UK but the most damaging thing I saw there was the attitude of the parents. Which is true of alot of sport these days, with young kids placed under ridiculous pressure from abusive parents.

I think the most important aspect is the people and environment that is created around the young kids training and competing, and they couldn't be in better hands.

congrats and good luck to your daughter jwp ,i was up and down with my daughters first fight i couldnt stand still but now im so proud of my daughter and she has come along way from when she started ,be aware they grow up too quick and before you know it she will be traveling the world for fights.
