quote:Hulk Hogan has announced his first tour of Australia. The "Hulkamania - Let the Battle Begin" tour feature four arena shows in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney in late November, with tickets going on sale September 24th. "I have been blessed with the opportunity to perform in front of fans around the world," Hogan is quoted as saying in a press release. "I have always wanted to perform in Australia as I have heard Aussies are some of the greatest wrestling fans ever. I am grateful for this opportunity, and hope that this is just the beginning of a great thing!" It's worth noting that Hogan, who had back surgery just a few months ago, talks about "performing" and not actually wrestling. For more information, visit LiveGuide.com.au.
Thought some people might wanna know.
I'm definetely in for this one!!!!

If you said Ric Flair, you'd be right.
The word going around is that Ric Flair is in discussions to work the Australian "Hulkamania - Let The Battle Begin" tour in November as Hogan's opponent on the tour.
Hogan and Flair have been remarkably closer in the last several years than they have been in the past. While a number of people are probably shocked at the idea of Flair working in any capacity with Eric Bischoff, the two have been cordial and friendly with each other when booked on events together in the past.
Should Flair actually work the tour, it will be his first in-ring "official" wrestling bout since Wrestlemania 24, although he's done a lot of physical angles for WWE since that retirement.
We might be served with a Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair Mainevent :D[8D]

Thanks Assassin. I'll try and get tickets myself. My 8 year old son loves WWE etc.
The gym I go to has two boxing rings. I try to take him and one his friends, sporting commitments permitting.
Those training use one ring kickboxing/boxing, the other is used by the kids to practise their best wrestling moves. Priceless.
Wrestling has it's place. I have been to a few fight nights that will put on local wrestlers as entertainment between bouts. When you are up close, you can see that whilst choreographed, they still take big hits.
And I don't think Hulk Hogan will be doing backflips from the turnbuckle at his age.

What's he actually going to be doing?
Will it be a show with other wrestlers or is it just Hulk walking around a ring?

Hogan was to come here in 2003 and pulled out.
Hope he finishes the job this time round.

lol, yes it'll be that. [:p]
Probably some of the people I'm guessing already that he will be bringing down to Australia is Brutus Beefcake, the Nasty Boys, Jimmy Hart and a few others.
I hope he brings down Dennis Rodzilla Rodman aswell.

The organisers are being very optimistic about selling out those arenas for this. He will not be wrestling.

did anyone see the doco on the Hulk family the other day on Biography channel?
After his son killed his mate when street racing it pretty much tore their family apart.
The Hulk Hogan story is becoming a little like the Wrestler.

Hulk had a reality TV show based around his family. It ran for 3 years or something. Watching the son grow up in to a friend-killing wigger & the daughter grow up in to a huge talentless Tranny was really something to behold.

it really makes you wonder sometimes about the infatuation many Americans have with themselves and TV. Take Jerry Springer, never seems to be a shortage of people willing to get up there on national TV to tell everyone they left their wife and kids to hook up with a drugged up tranny in a trailer park.
No publicity is bad publicity eh...

Eric Bischoff will have sex with a ridiculous amount of women while in Australia.

I was at lunch today at the Rockpool in the Sydney CBD and sitting across the way was Hulk Hogan...after a couple hours and a few bottles of wine I went to the bathroom and the Hulkster was washing up. I made the usual small talk and asked him about his fight and confirmed he was going to fight Ric Flair.
The guy is absolutely massive...I'd say 6'4 or 5", and arms like trees. As he turned and walked out he hobbled like an 80yr old...I guess years of smashing his hips has taken its toll.

In his book, Hulk talks about the "blade job" having a piece of razor, wrapped in tape with only the tiniest piece of blade protruding, kept in his mouth between his teeth and gums. He says he can get it out of his mouth that quick/convincingly you can't even see it on slow motion. He would cut himself with that, superficially enough to bleed, and it would be healed over in a day or two. Me thinks staged, but what a showman. If you look at the media conference, they have set up chairs for the journalists well back from the table that was thrown off the platform. Perhaps they did this so no one really got hurt and they knew it was coming... What is really interesting is the blogs from the readers. I love how they call it "bogan theatre".
