Hiro he clearly wore the Aboriginal colours (Incl. the flag) on his trunks in the Mundine fight.

So did Tito Ortiz in all of his fights. Jens Pulver did as well at times. In fact, Takanori Gomi did as well. Pretty sure they are not aboriginal.
So, what's your point?

What exactly is your point Hiro?

How do you get the aboriginal flag out of his shorts? The colours maybe, but as I pointed out, it looks more like that lame ****ty flame effect that others have had on their shorts.

Mundine has already said he wont fight geale again and will give up his belt. he believes he won and doesnt have to prove himself again. so i guess it wont happen

Good. It is an insult for him to have to fight Geale again anyway.

If you are going to use photoshopped images to try and prove points that don't exist, you really should brush up on your skills with that particular application.

I recall many hated on Ali back in his day. Perhaps in the future Australians will look at Mundine like Americans look at Ali.
The two fighters are completely different but the way Australian boxing is going 20 years from now they won't know that.

disagree totally.
Mundine is nowhere near the natural or trained skill of Ali so stop the comparison there. If you are trying to sound PC by mentioning their colour then the answer is simple. Yes there are a lot of ****heads now and 20yrs ago who are racist but there are also a lot of people who dislike loudmouth boxers who have a massive chip on their shoulders.
There are also many people who like Mundine for his abilities but don't like his character much, and I'd put myself in that camp. Got nothing to do with race, colour or the injustice served up to the Aboriginal people over the past 200yrs so that shouldn't be an issue really.

So just so im on the same page with you , your saying its an insult that he fights geale again but it WONT be an insult if he fights shannon taylor and/or nader hamden again in january 2010 ?
Why because there not threats and geale might be ?

must have photo shopped it through the 12 rounds that they fought too, cause the flag was on his shorts all night long.

The fact is that in the rescore done by 3 independant judges, seperate from the IBO, two gave the fight to Geale and one to mundine, so it goes to show it all comes down to interpretation, and under IBO ruling, if this is the case the appealant becomes the automatic manditory for defence of the title. Koder has said that Anthony isnt keen to fight Daniel again. If he decides to fight Shannon or Nader again, the reason for not defending his title against Geale will be clear. Another name that will also test mundine from the Grange camp has also been thrown up for a future fight, but will let it be known as something becomes more concrete, as this name worries the mundine camp.
Have fun with that guys, im sure theres lots for you to comment on

you think Mundine is really worried about anyone in Australia? About as worried as how much hype can be generated to dib the foolish fightgoers out of more hard-earned.
You guys really should just let go of Mundine and focus on other things for Geale as he will only get beaten again and then there will be nothing left for him to pursue. Best just saying it was a contentious result and planning new things for him.
Mundine is the thorn in the side of many boxers and really is having a lark at everything that gets sprayed around about him.

You could look at the situation a different way with not wanting a rematch. Got to wonder why Jones JR. who is a tight Mundine camp supporter has suddenly "jumped in bed" with Green. think of the mega cash from a Green-Jones JR fight & then Mundine Stepping back up in weight to fight Green again. Almost like they planned it!

There's rumours of Mundine fighting Sakio Bika for the IBO super-middlweight strap??? I thought he wanted to concentrate on middleweight. A Geale rematch would be sweet, but he would win more convincingly. The new 6 man super-middleweight tournament looks good. I think Kessler will take it, but Andre Ward is damn good.

Nothing to do with race at all capitano. Nor skill as only one of Mundines "yes men" would compare the skill of Mundine with that of Ali. However Ali wansn't hated only for his colour but his flamboyance and the way he sold himself.
Much like Mundine.
Anyway the post was a joke making the statement that perhaps people would embrace Mundine like they embraced Ali. Yes a joke.
Because Ali never dodged any-one [above all else].

I thought this would get to you all. Mundine is worried, really worried. As he should be. Mundine is free to fight whom he pleases, but not for this title. But we all know he would never leave his nest to test himself further, thus the rumors of taylor and hamden. He is reluctant to fight Geale again because of the very real risk of losing. A fight with Bika is nowhere in sight for mundine.
No more to say until a firm match/es is/are made.

how much did the Geale crew lose on the side bets against Mundine? Must have been significant given the confidence and subsequent annoyance.

Rumoured bouts for this tournament are:
Foch/Dirrel - Oct 10th
Abraham/Taylor - Oct 10th
Ward/Kessler - Nov 7th
Ward is going to be huge for the next 10-15 years, but this is way too early in his career to fight a guy like Kessler.

Not only that, forget about Mundine fighting any of these guys over the next 12 months. This tournament will be a round robin, with each guy fighting each other once over the next year.
