"Mitchell says "da" to Tszyu rematch!
It appears that Sharmba Mitchell will soon have his opportunity for revenge against Kostya Tszyu but he will have to travel to Russia for the chance. Showtime executive Jay Larkin told USA Today that Mitchell will travel to Moscow for a September 27 bout agianst the world junior welterweight champion. The formal announcement could come as soon as Monday. The home field advantage will belong to Tszyu, who was born in the former Soviet Union but moved to Australia. Mitchell bowed out of the first bout after fighting seven rough rounds on an injured knee. Since then, he has been on a mission to land a rematch. At first, a rematch seemed unlikely, but Mitchell has fought and beaten tough competition to become the IBF's mandatory challenger."

This will be an awesome rematch with both fighters having styles that make things hard for their opponents. Lay some bets down, who is the money on?

Koshy,

This will be a tough fight for Kostya, I was at a function for the Australian Boxing Hall of Fame in April at the Crown and got a chance to chat with Kostya for a few minutes, he mentioned that the fight in Russia could be his last, I am sure he would love to retire on a win, but we can never be sure.

Mitchell is a great fighter though and deserves the rematch. Should be an excellent fight.

Wonder if the fight will be shown of Main Event?

Regards,

AX

Should be interesting but I would of rather Kostya fight someone else. I do think Kostya is winding down and now is enjoying the status he has rather than fighting.

Axekick, where the hell have you been?!

"Seriously, What the HELL did you expect?"

Hey Janer,

I have been on Holiday's for the last couple of months, now back to reality, I missed this forum, while I was overseas I would check in just to see what was going on.

How have you been Janer?

Kind regards,
AX

Actually I read that Zu is planning to step up a division and fight the belt holder in that division and eventually fight Vernon Forrester - this was in the paper and quoted Zu.

I'd read the same or Sherdog Koshy.

I was thinking we'll get to see more rather than less of Kostya fighting.
