this would be a ripper.

Brett franklin underrated in my opinion, boom boom finally getting the recognition he deserves,

2 of australias best at 79kg

Both awesome grapplers

both thai stylists

man its gotta happen. Great match up right here!!!

well boom is dropping to 73 for the 8 man which makes me think 79 would be too big for him.. id still back him at 79 to take brett out though..

how many fights has franklin had??? Boom wouldnt have had too many more....

79 is too heavy - i think this fight has already tried to be matched at a catch weight but Brett was in Thailand. Boom makes 76 comfortably... and is fighting Evo 72/73 or whatever it is.

She'll be right Caley ! ... I am sure Boom Boom would love the opportunity to chew on HJ's , Macdonalds and Pizza Hut right up until the weigh in ! Ha ha ha . [:p] ( errrr I am feeling sick even thinking about eating that muck ! )
What weight is Boom Booms walk around weight these days , he looked like he was around 82- 84 kgs when I was over in Perth last year ?

I think Boom Boom has fought from 72 - 90 kgs ... well at least some of his opponents were at the real heavy end of the scale. Daniel Tai for example in NZ.( if I remember correcly he went to NZ to fight a 72 or 73 Kg bout but the guy pulled out. Eugene had cut a heap of weight for it but then ended up fighting Tai who was around the 90 kg mark , and smashed him of course.

He doesnt walk around that heavy anymore. Hes good with his food and that now and i think he might be trying for the lighter weights cause heaps of guys around - JWP, Eli, etc etc.... hes fighting DDD at 78 but i reckon thats max they would go.

after his continued success in Jamaica surely Boom has gotta be thinking about showing he is top dog in Aust and offering a challenge to JWP...maybe not his nature to be outspoken like that but the thought has got to be there. That's why I am hoping they meet 1st round of the Evo tourney.

Eugene has had about 20 more fights than Brett.

Brett is a good fighter, I think if he had a good run of fights and training he would be a natural 76kg. I think since brett broke his leg he has had a few niggling injuries. At the moment he has stuffed his ankle.

how many fights in brett dazmon?? inc thailand fights??

bretts had 36- 37 fights including thailand.

brett used to fight lighter weights as low as 73kg. i know he was young but he can drop more kgs.

i think before eugene asserts hes the top dog in australia, i think he has to clean up a few boys first.... namely brett franklin.

no one else in that weight can pose a threat except brett (in full thai of course)

i think Boom has already asserted he's top dog by defending his world title 5 times and breaking Rayen Simsons arm ;)

boom is the man at 76kg his proved himself time an time again! he must kick hard to break his arm!! but hey if brett can meet him at 76kg not 79kg to determine who is the best in oz then go for it! but boom boom to win via KO 3rd

correct me if im wrong, but why does boom have to prove anything to anyone in australia.
i thought having the WORLD TITLE would mean that everyone else should be knocking at his door.and he has defended it 5 times so it goes to show the first time was not a fluke.
get off the mans case,

I really dont think that Boom Boom has to prove anything. He is allready at the top of the heap as far as I am concerned.
I think if he was living over Eastern Australia where more people would get a chance to see him fight his profile would be huge , along side the likes of Carnage Eli and JWP.
I dont know if he was asked to try out for the Contender series or not, I thought personally that he should have been.
I am pretty sure he has beaten Warren Elson before in an Eliminator comp aswell ( in the final )
The only person that I think that would have been a tough fight for him would have been Eli Madigan.
Time and time again Boom Boom has beaten quality opposition , been dodged like he has the plague from other highly ranked fighters and still he has people that doubt his ability.
This man is the Real Deal ... what else does Boom Boom have to do to prove it ???
