There is only one boy to watch out for in that division and he will be making his debut in the next few weeks.Paul'The Natural' Miller trained by John Lewis and the cowboy Justin Rowsell who was the Commonwealth Games gold medalist and Sydney Olympics team member.Paul will take on all contenders but no one seems interested in taking the fight. So far Shannon Taylor and a host of other hot shots have declined to take the offer. Maybe Ozkan???Since Tim Bell opted out, how about it????? This will be Pauls pro debut and what many insiders predict will be the future of Australian boxing.Paul has sparred Green,Delisle and Briggs and toyed with them all.

Koshy:Paul Miler sparred Briggs twice. The first time Briggs dropped him with a straight right but Paul got back up at the count of 4 and it was even steven for the rest of the time. The following day Paul Miller punched ten shades out Briggs.Ask Briggsy !! It was about 6 months after the Sydney Olympics.

I went to the fight at Penrith Panthers. Paid $65 to stand up all night, top stuff Jeff. The chairs and tables were reserved for those paying $200+ to eat in front of everyone else. Anyway....
The undercard was very ordinary. Scrappy fights, not much to talk about. One thing I will say is that there are a lot of boxers that become pro way too soon. The ammatuer foundations need to be solid before stepping into the pro ranks. I saw so-called pro's throwing wiered schoolboy punches and doing things that you would be smacked for doing at the local PCYC.
Nader V's Soliman was a great fight. I grew up with Nader and tend to be a bit biased but I have to say Soliman played a very smart fight. Nader looked agressive in the earlier rounds, throwing Soliman around with a mixture of frustration and confidence. Soliman's strategy started to take shape and it was quite clear he didn't want to fight from a distance, he wanted to smother the jab and get on the inside and hussle. This is pretty much how it went for the whole fight. Nader smacked him down in the 4th but didn't back it up.
Solimans antics were wearing Nader down and by round 7 he looked fatigued.
He got abit more agressive in rounds 11 and 12 but didn't do enough to deserve the win. Soliman worked hard all through the bout and deserved the win. He even did a Taekwondo style double jump spinning inside turning kick to the delight of the crowd. The man is very conditioned and super fit.
Danny Green is awesome to watch, textbook technique, great body leverage. He has very good foot work and an impessive sense of balance and stability.
He beat Delisle easily. Knock out in the 5th. When you make a good fighter like Delisle look average it is really saying something. He isn't really a big super middle, but he generates so much power in his punches by way of correct body dynamics and technique.
He is one to watch
