Virgil is basing himself here in Australia for the next 12 months. He's settled in Sydney now & on the look out for any possible fights here in Oz / New Zealand. He's also interested in possible training partners, too.

As per our news piece over at www.infinitemma.com, if any promoters / fighters / trainers out there are interested:

quote:Former South African boxing champion & now K-1 Max Fighter, Virgil Kalakoda, has recently made the move here to Australia with his young family. Virgil has based himself in Sydney for the next 12 months, and will use our region of the world as a training and fighting base, prior to fighting on the bigger K-1 Max events in Japan.

Virgil has asked me to let the Australian & New Zealand fight community know that he has settled now & is available for fights at/around 70kg, as well as on the look out for good training and sparring partners. Promoters and trainers out there in Australia & New Zealand who are interested in matching up a big name K-1 Max Star, please feel free to contact Virgil directly at his e-mail address: INFINITEMMAvirgilsk@yahoo.com (Don’t use the INFINITEMMA part of that e-mail address & you’ll have Virgil’s correct e-mail address). The same applies for anyone looking to have Virgil run a training seminar, or for fighters looking to come and train with Virgil. Just send him and e-mail and you can organise it directly with the man himself.

Cheers,

Adam.

the 2 guys I'd like to see Virgil fight are JWP and Foley...given he isn't fighting on the K-1 circuit he would likely be a little flexi on weight between 70-72kgs.
That said, if he is really looking for regular fights he could compete right across Australia so promoters should take advantage to inject a little new blood into their shows.

Exactly.Looking to compete in Australia, wouldn't really want to fight my mate John Wayne but I suppose money talks.lol And have no desire to fight MT rules as I'm predominantly a boxer. First up though have a fight in France in June. Also just to clarify I'm unfortunately away from the wife and kids and I am currently training out here in Sydney with Tony Delvechio.
