Are fighters allowed to bring their own gloves to use i fights?

I plan on buying my own pair of 8oz gloves to use for when i fight.

Saves the hassle of waiting for the gloves to be given to you in the locker room. Sometimes they are wet or have blood on them or the thumb is detached so you can poke someones' eye and scratch their cornea(has happened to me) or the foam is worn out so I hurt my hand throwing a jab

My choice of glove of course would be Cleto Reyes "the punchers glove"

Too many people in the past have doctored gloves and wraps in the past with plaster. Read the links.

WKA rules at Rule 50 say the promoter must supply the gloves. Don't know about other sanctioning bodies.

the ref and promotor can inspect them then...

I saw in the JWP doco he had his own pair of cleto reyes gloves

in the beggining i didnt really care about that stuff but now alot there are alot of stuff to consider like

1. some fighters get sponsored and get free gloves
2. safety coz fighting with damaged or worn out gloves can damage hands
3. some fighters care about what color gloves they fight in(i like the color red)
4. some fighters want to use the gloves their fav fighter uses

Lucy Tui posts on her and she runs the WKBF. She might comment. I will send her an email.

Most shows have sponsored gloves ,shin gaurds ect. And sometimes gloves are provided by the same crew that supply the ring.
