View Full Version : Putting KB matches on Youtube

I've got a few mad Kickboxing DVD's, and want to put osme of the matches on youtube for everyone to be able to see them.

Louie Isofidis matches, Tosca, Nik Talakouris, Steve ''superkick'' Vick, and Stan the Man vs Maurice Smith and Dennis Alexio vs Stan the man with the full entrance and build up.
Plenty of matches, plus their full entrances I can put.

If someone can help me
1. give me a step by step easy to follow guide on how to put them on, and
2. Tell me how to copy only certain matches from a DVD rather than the whole DVD.

That would be good.

Thanks.

This guide will help you to easily cut out clips from a DVD and convert them to AVI, MP4, WMV etc using only free software.

Tools required:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Shrink - DVD Shrink[
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/WinFF]WinFF
(or
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/XviD4PSP]Xvid4PSP
or
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Encode360]Encode360
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDFab_Decrypte - DVDFab Decrypter if you want to rip DVD from newer commercial DVD releases

Guide

Cut out clips from DVD
In DVD Shrink Open Disc (or choose File->Open Disc Image from ISO file or File->Open... to open a VIDEO_TS folder on your HDD) and DVD Shrink will index the DVD. If DVD Shrink wont read the DVD then try LATEST DVDFab Decrypter to rip the DVD to the HDD, see here.

Select the main movie.
Just choose one audio track
Click on Re-Author to start CUT.
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/dvdshrink1.gif

Select the Main movie title and drag it to the DVD Structure.
Click on Set Start/End frames button to cut.
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/dvdshrink2.gif

Set start and Stop
You can add more clips from same movie by drag the Movie title again and cut it, each clip will be one file.
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/dvdshrink3.gif

Last hit Backup to save the clips
Output to Hard Disk Folder
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/dvdshrink4.gif

Convert
You can now use several tools to convert the VOB files from DVD Shrink to other video formats. Like WinFF or Xvid4PSP to convert to AVI or MP4(like for Ipod, PSP, Xbox 360, PS3, etc) and Encode360 to convert to WMV.
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/files.gif

Convert to AVI, MP4 using WinFF
WinFF, easy to use and can batch convert but you can not crop and add other filters.
Add all the VTS0X_1.VOB clips from the VIDEO_TS folder that DVD Shrink made.
Under Convert to choose the profile you want to convert to like
AVI with XVID 16:9(choose 16:9 if you source is anamorphic, check the back on the DVD cover)
MP4 with H264
Convert! A command line window will popup and show you encoding information, do NOT close it until it's done.
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/winff.gif

Convert to AVI, MP4 using Xvid4pSP
Xvid4PSP is easy to use and has more settings like cropping but no batch mode.
Click on the DVD and choose the VIDEO_TS folder that DVD Shrink made
Choose the Title you want to convert
Select a Format, Video and Audio Codec
Under Video->Resolution/Aspect can you easily resize the video
Encode!
http://forum.videohelp.com/images/guides/358361/xvid4psp.gif

Convert to WMV
You can open the VOB directly in Windows Vista Movie Maker if you have installed ffdshow (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffdshow). Or else can you use Encode360, open the vob and convert to WMV.

Convert to MPG
You can just try rename the .vob to .mpg and it should work fine in most DVD/mpeg players and mpeg editors. But you might sync problems because of ac3 audio delay. You can then remultiplex it to mpeg2 using Xvid4PSP, open DVD and choose the VIDEO_TS folder from DVD Shrink, select title and then choose MPEG2-PS under Format and under video and audio choose Copy. Encode.

Problems
DVD Shrink does not support newer commercial DVDs. Then try use LATEST DVDFab Decrypter and rip to an ISO file or to folder on your HDD.
In the free DVDFab Decrypter choose your DVD Drive
Set output target and click on the folder-icon to output to folder(VIDEO_TS) or the image-icon to output to an ISO-file
Then open the ISO or folder in DVD Shrink and cut as above

Assassin,

You wouldn't have any Rick Kulu fights would you?

He is a mate, and doesn't have any of the major fights he was in.

Lucy Tui, who is a well known promoter and speaks a bit on this site, says the Kulu/Talakouris fight was one of the best she has seen in this country.

Come back via the forum if you have, with contact details, and I will get in touch.

lol, that was exactly the Nick Talakouris fight I was talking about. When he fought Rick Kulu in 1992 on Chrispher Chronis' show. :)

Give me a few days, or week or so, and I'll have it on youtube so you can download it if you like.

That's the only Rick Kulu fight I have though.

Guys I ripped one of the DVD's (The War- Stan vs Cikatic Mainevent 1992) onto my computer, and it worked and all.

But the only issue is that I now that I've ripped it onto my computer, the version on my computer isn't as clear as my DVD, for example annoying compressed blackish lines in the middle of the screen make the veiwing not overly clear.
Therefore annoying for the view.
Does anyone know anything about this? I think it's because the DVD ripper I downloaded compressed it abit, however I don't want it to.

Anyone know what settings I'd need to change on the DVD ripper to stop it from being compressing the Clips?
Can't seem to find it.

thanks

Assassin,
Any chance of burning a copy of the fight night onto a DVD for me, if you give me an address I will mail over a blank DVD, postpak, postage ...... it'd be much appreciated.

Rick was a guy who was there, fighting, when the sport started in OZ and is still in the game as a trainer. Back in those days, he and Alex Tui use to take turns working each others corner...
