im just curious for the sake of one's ranking in the IK rankings that have been established, what happens to a ranking if you are fighting guys outside your weight. I know im certainly not the only one doing it but i have had a few offers of fights coming up and also that i have already fought that are quite a kew kg's outside my ideal weight and the one that i have a ranking for in the IK mag. Should my ranking be affected by getting beat or vice versa, me beating a heavier opponent??? getting fights at my weight is hard enough as it is especially with my preferred rules so fighting outside my weight and rules is regularly a thought just to keep active. anyone have any idea?????

imo if u fight above your normal weight class then you would go into that class as well as your normal weight class.
look at shaggy for example, he fights at 70-72 but is in the 78kg catorgory as well as normal class
just how i see it working

When was Shaggy in the 78kg class?
Thats news to me.
Let me make it clear for you Snipps, if you consistently fight over 2 divisions to get fights (like the girls & lighter guys do) then eventually I will have you in both divs, but that does my head in so wherever possible I'm trying to only have fighters in once.

How many fights do fighters need to be ranked?

Depends on division.
Around middleweight about 10.
To be in the top 10 about 20 fights.

I don't think we go that low Sarah but in saying that we almost need a heavier divison as well for the girls...
