good luck to the boys
Good luck to Riddlers boys Boom Boom and Tiger who are both fighting at Lumpinee on Saturday night. This will be a massive experience for both of them to fight at this famous stadium, many can only dream of.
Best of luck boys, hope you both kick ass!!
Hellfighter...speak to Daz for my contribution...:D

Tiger lost on points to a thai that had a HUGE right kick
Boom Boom won in the 4th against a Brazilian who (in the clinch) took a knee to the hip/arse area and had his "hip" give way... apparently ;)
either way, he had to be stretchered out of the ring and had a wheelchair take him to a waiting van
congrats to both lads for fighting at the mekka of MuayThai and for those who contributed, expect the download links of the fights in the next 48hrs... thanks for helping out
to everyone else... you'll just have to see who is nice enough to share, because I'm not :-P

Well done guys....
How were the boys seen over there Dave, especially the World Champ.....

I spoke to the other Gym after the fight and they had no idea who Eugene was let alone that he had a World Title... after hearing that, they didn't seem very happy as the brazilian fighter had only a handful of fights

What about in general, the public / press, were they aware ???

you might think a smart trainer would type his opponent's name into google and see what comes up.
Well done guys!! Bet it feels great to have fought there - awesome job...
Boom was meant to be originally fighting an Italian but it got changed a couple of days before the fight... guy must have been injured or something

Voice, unlike the west, over here they just fight whoever is put in front of them, sometimes successfully and other times not... why don't you come over and educate them?
Bushi, from my understanding no one knew about them being here, but that is the same with many champions that come to train and fight... they just keep it quiet

yeah well the fighter was from the West...Brazil, no?
I'm sure you already do a great job representing the qualities of Western culture.
what gym the boys train at whilst they were there?

not sure that matters voice...I'm from the west [australia] but as long as your trainer is from the east you never know who your fighting.

ok Hellfighter, so which is it to be? You've gotten me confused with all that knowledge about the East.
Hellfighter
25-05-2009, 12:02 PM
I don't have "all that knowledge about the East"... you've been over here and watched fights, so I'm pretty sure you'd be as clued in as much or more so than me, or is that just K-1?
the first part was from the Gym's head trainer about them not being happy to hear that Eugene was a World Champ, if you read what Cales wrote, the opponent was changed only a couple of days before
the second part was about the fight game over here in general, many fighters both Thai (not Stadium fighters) and foreigners are just very happy to get matched & will pretty much fight anyone...
if you wish, feel free to email me so we don't bore the other members

lol, it was really only a little nitpick Hellfighter, as I know you love to comment on most things I say. I do actually respect your knowledge about most things Muay Thai hence why I almost never dispute what you say.

is that any of the trainers in the northeast where you are based or Thailand wide, because I can tell you that at some camps it's difficult to get some of the trainers off the net to hold pads
