After seeing Tariks new boy from Lebanon, I am going to think twice about Australia seeing a great new face.

However, his weight at 84.5kg, who could he fight? Surely he cant get under 79kg?

Im telling you guys now, if Wissam just only works on his fitness.. He will be a force to be reckoned with. Pure power and tough like a giant OX!

Wissam Fattal is the brand new top shelf fighter. I now call him the Lebanese Gladiator!!!!!

JANER

Come on setheridge! He has some awesome talent and heaps of power, he bashed the living crap out of his opponent!

I spoke to Wassim's best friend whom he resides with here in Australia, and he was telling me how he kicks butt overseas in not only lebanon but all over Europe. The guy also told me that Tarik had seen Wassim on some film footage and flew him and a few other fighters down here to Australia.

Could you answer 1 question for me, did you see the fight last night?

Wassim "The Lebanese Gladiator" !!!!

Hey Guy's
I didn't see this new Lebenese Gladiator fight last night but if he is any good, and knowing Tarik with his fight anyone, anywhere, any rules stlye, maybe it would be a good chance for him to bring Nathan Carnage to Melb and fight him.
Just a thought

Hey Janer,

When I asked if you knew anything about him, I wasn't meaning it in the same way as Sethridge, I'm genuinely interested.

Sounds good to me Wrecka.

Hey guys
Wassam is a strong fighter who fought a good fight with Rob Clarke. The only stupid thing was that Rob kicked Wassam whilst he was on the ground at least 3 times. Wissam was winning the first 2 rounds 10-9, 10-9 but he got cought with a punch and went down. If Rob Clarke wasn't so stupid he might of been able to come back from that.
I think Wassams fitness could have come into question in the 3rd round, but we will never know?
The crap that went on at the end of the fight with 10-15 Goons jumping into the ring is the worst thing about the sport. It was very close to a Nick Tetoris, Amir free for all again.

As far as Natham Carnage goes, I don't know if Wissam fights with knees, but knowing Tarik well he would fight him K-1 rules. As far as sethridge goes no names is not what I would call Rob Clark because he took a lot of shots and stood up to all of them.
Rob has only had 4 fights. Maybe you could recommend someone to fight Wissam under Kickboxing rule and lets just see how they go.
I will try to get Natham To fight Wissam if both parties can aggree on the rule and conditions are within reason. It would make a very good fight. You guys are right when you say these fighters should meet in the ring. I have never Seen Tarik back away from a challange yet. There are lots of Queensland Promoters so maybe they should give Tarik a call, to match up a fight in Queensland.

I spoke with both Tarik & Paul Fyfield about Wassam before the fight and they both said he was a very strong fighter. With a little bit of time with Paul Fyfield, Wassam will improve on fitness and skill and i think he will be a entertaining fighter.

As for bad decisions go. I would like to say the fight with Carrim Hemed and Danny Nagyivan Was called a non contest on the night, due to a broken shin bone. After getting the referee to view
the tape the decision was over turned because it was clear that a leg check caused the bone to break. The referee rang both the fighter and trainer to appoligise for the decision and explain that he didn't see the check that caused the break. The problem was that 90% of the crowd did.
Its about time referee's and judge are called to be accountable for their actions and decissions. On all Fightforce & Ultimate Promotions shows we are going to have a replay on the big screen if there are questions to what caused a cut, break etc..
This was done on a Fox show when Arthur Tsakonas cut Gurkan Ozkan with a accidental elbow. Even in that fight it took 3 camera angle and slow motion to see what caused the cut. Its bad when the wrong call is made on the night,so we are tring to make sure that we do as much as possible to make the right decision on the night.

Tarik has at least 3 guys that can take on
Nathan Corbett between 76kg - 83kg under K1 rules,Shootboxing or
Full Thai rules.
Tarik has always gone on about "We at Braveheart Gym never back down from a challenge".
So.... how about Head Hunter...Gurkan Ozkan or Wassam step up.
I think most of you guys would like to see some of these match ups soon.

cheers Spada

p.s Michael...I like the idea of having replays if a ref is not sure on something.

I agree, why doesn't tarik match carnage up with one of his fighters. Though Gurkan is too heavy, carnage only fights between 79kg-82kg. But, I'm sure, if tarik really does match his fighters there is some down there willing to fight full thai rules. Thats if tarik really is more than happy to match any of his fighters under any rules. I thought he only like matching his boys up in kickbox rules only?
I read that carnage has been trying to get anyone in his weight division in melbourne to fight him under mauythai rules or shootbox rules. If tarik really wanted to why doesn't he call boonchu gym or why hasn't called them to match any of his fighters in this weight division with Nathan, is it because they won't match under thai rules? I mean its not like they havent heard of him.

Wassim weighed in at 84.5kg. Does he step up to 92.5? or under 82? he is carrying a little extra weight around the gut, so I guess with a bit of hard yards not only will it get him the Super Middle area but his fitness will be far superior!

Paul or anyone who seen him, what do you reckon? Seeing its extremely hard to get fights around the 85kg mark. Its like in between Middle and HEavy...

Michael, do you think that wissam would fight nathan at 83kg, I mean nathan only fights at 79kg-82kg. It would not be a fare fight to match someone who is clearly much heavier naturally. Nathan struggles to make 82kg,let alone fasting just so he can cut the weight just to make the weigh in. If Nathan is willing to fight at 83kg, shouldn't wissam if he really wants to match up with someone good??
Also does wissam even fight anything other than kickboxing? Would he be willing to fight full thai rules, or even modified??

what Tarik himself has said about his fighters. They will take on all comers, under any rules......or will they?????????

Firstly - aner my man - settle down Habaib!!
lets see the guy take on some serious fighters first -

Mike - the idea of reviewing footage in controversial circumstances is a good idea -

Back to the Leb - a possible scenario - knowing how Mr God Solak operates - the Super Leb will fight a number of try hard, unknown fighters that the trainers know The Leb can beat and KO - build up the hype that he is the next Stan Longinides - and place him on his Super shows aainst a great opponent - were under controversial circumstances the Leb will win - and Brave Heart (which is full of fighters form Scottish decent (NOT!!) Gym will again be the best Gym in the World!! if he doesnt win - God will rip out one of his 'I have been personally humiliated tonight' speeches and go bash someone in the crowd because they 'boo d'him

Hey Guys, I think yur getting ahead of yourselves here.

I don't think that 2 rounds is enough to label this guy the next big thing, he's had one fight in aus against a guy with four, way too early to bring up carnage.
no disrespect to these guys(wissam and clarke) but your not giving carnage much credit either

First of all i know nothing about the 'new sensation/big thing" except from what i've read here, BUT i bet solak didn't see the kid or hear about him. And he didn't offer to bring him he to Aus. to fight under him NO WAY. This bloke just came to Aus. and Solak, has the experience he does and Solak has created the HYPE. Well my prediction is for him or anyone without being pro or an impressive fight record that can be backed up by the way he fight he will just go away with time. Mike Zambidis was hyped, but the kid can walk the walk that his record states.

On another note why would Tarik spend money on some inexperienced am?? Why doesn't he search he in OZ for a good am and try and promote/hype him or even a group of ams??

I think Wissam shows some potential, he's a strong fighter but I wouldn't call him top shelf. Maybe ater Paul works on him a bit he could get there. He did take a lot of front kicks and inside thigh kicks to the GROIN! Rob's kicks to the groin-right hand combinations were working well for him. When rob dropped Wissam, he set it up just before with Another hard kick to the groin. Can't believe Dave didn't pull him up on it either..

I to would love to see Wissam Fight Nathan Corbett. Nathan would win but I am sure Wissam would give it all his got. But having seen Wissam fight, he would give it a good shot for 2 rounds.
