This wasn't a case of abuse where consent was an issue.

Being realistic, she wasn't exactly saving herself for the wedding night either. It took her 5 days to report it to police and bragged to others about being involved in a group activity.

I just saw the footy show. Matty spoke with Phil Gould and they chose Tracey Grimshaw, because they knew she was a hard reporter. Matty wanted his side out there.... Normally it is the bloke with regrets saying "I will never drink again" when they wake up.

Johns has been made a scapegoat in all this and it's a bloody disgrace. The role of the media is to present a balanced viewpoint but all they have done is take the side of the self-proclaimed "victim" and believe everything she said, without question. The media should not play judge and jury and have the power to singlehandedly dismantle Johns' career, the whole thing is a joke and makes me very very angry (the bag is going to cop it tonight).

the fact this is coming out now, 7yrs later shows that the NRL has done a cover up...similar to how they covered up Andrew Johns' alleged drug use.
One could ask if M Johns even would have had a channel 9 career if it had come out when it should.
He does seem an ok guy and it certainly isn't for the media to become judge but the point of all this is how high profile media types become role models for kids.
