Boonchu Amatuer Cup

Some of you may not have heard but Wayne Parr has been organinising amatuer fight nights similiar to amatuer boxing where fighters get matched up on the day. Fighters must have had under five fights and all fights have head gear, shin pads and sixteen ounce gloves. If anyone lives in Goldcoast/Brisbane area and want to have a good night out and support Muay thai this is an ideal thing to go to. I think the next fight night is on June 6? A good luck shout-out goes to Glen Stalley Knights Mauy Thai/Extreme Fitness Centre who will be fighting on the night for the first Amatuer Cup title.

The Amateur Tournament is on Sunday 8th June. It is definitely worth while going down to check out the fights. Fights include both male and female. Go Bull who is fighting for the first Amateur Tornament Belt. It will be a good fight!

Hey guys,
These Amatuer fights are so good, really encouraging for the beginers, I wish I got to start like this. Last time there was 4 girls fighting, and two junior fights between a 10 and 12 y/o and a 12 and 14 y/o! Its a wicked arvo, come check it out sunday 8th june.

I have read about these on Wayne Parr's Boonchu site, it sounds like an awesome set up. Perhaps the sport IS going in the right direction in some respects! If we were in QLD we would be coming to watch.

I know the show is on the 8th June, can anyone tell me where is it going to be held at (address too)and what time does it start? Also does anyone know when the next amatuer boonchu tournament is after the one is June 8th??

hey hey! the boonchu tournaments are an excellent day out, i'm from Knights Muay Thai and will be fighting for the 1st amatuer belt against Bull from Boonchu Gym on the 8th of June. Its good to see our sport is growing in popularity, fun is had by all on these tournament days, and is a great experience for all involved. Cheers for the support Koshy! When:Weigh Inn at 11am at BOONCHU GYM 2460 Gold Coast Hwy,

Doors open 3pm
Fights start 4pm
