I just got the poster for Lucy's next show.

I have to tell you Sydney promoters that I'm very friggen impressed with the line-ups lately. Between this card and JNI show, it's almost worth moving back to Sydney.

Hey, how come we never see Foley or Badato in Melbourne?
It would be interesting to see how these guys go against the Melbourne fighters in Melbourne.

Well it was meant to be 2 weight divisions KB4 but due to Ashley White jumping on JNI show to fight Shannon Forrester it has put that on hold...for 67lg division and the 75kg with Chris Johnson KB4 in which one of the fighters have a injury so have to put that on hold...now Greg Foley will be fighting Mark Spencer from NZ and Chris Johnson fighting Scott Scader from QLD..
Alexi fighting Mike Cope 6x2mins Reindhard Badato Vs Andy or Steve Donaldson from NZ...will have confirmation of fights next week.

He has not fought kickboxing in 10years looking forward to his comeback...

That is an awesome card. We will be there for sure. Stoked to see Alexi (spelling????) fighting again, he is something special that guy. That Chris Johnson goes more than alright too i reckon, seen Badato fight twice now, like his style too.... And i still rate Foley!

Mark Bagero will be fighting a guy from Qlds, I am just waiting on his confirmation then I will post his name..
At the moment Mark trains with boxing trainer Angelo Hyder Central Coast, I think Hape Ngaronoa will be in his corner also he used to be Marks trainer from 10 or more years ago and they are very close friends .....

We shell out our money each month to Fox for little or no coverage.
Going back a few years ago and Fox use to show local shows and fights from Thailand.Then they were showing "night of combat" each Tuesday
night.Now that has gone and we are left with maybe 1 show a month if we are lucky.We have some really good local shows coming up and hopefully someone at Fox will pull their finger out.

I don't know or can I comment on purses, but Sydney is quite bizzare compared to Melbourne I reckon. For example, I think the biggest crowd puller I've ever seen there has consistently been Foley. And the guy is still an amateur I believe. That's pretty incredible considering Melbourne's equivalents of Ozkan and Zam. I know he doesn't draw exactly quite as many as those two, but still, about as big a draw as there is in Sydney.

I wonder why that is, instead of one of the pro world title holding Sydney guys.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm basing this on personal experience, but I don't get to too many Sydney shows these days.

I do not know what it is with Sydney as far as kickboxing crowds but it is definetly not as big as melbourne...
I think it is more to do with your culture or friends......
If you are Greek, Turkish or Lebanese they support you 100%
I think the public here with anything in NSW you have to really promote it...The biggest kickboxing crowd ever in Sydney was Stan The Man & Maurice Smith 8,000 people... now you are lucky to get 1500...the average would be 400-600 people that is why it is hard to pay big names big purse here...

That's a good point Lucy about ethnicity.

I noticed that whenever I spoke to a Greek person in Sydney's eastern suburbs (that has I reckon as many Greeks as there are Kiwi's) that if I mentioned that I shoot kickboxing, the first comment back is 'Cool, do you know Stan The Man'. Plus you get the impression that even if they hated ring sport, that they would be happy to go and watch Stan fight.

Cope vs Alexi should be a great fight, could go either way, but i'll take Cope ever so slightly.

Foley would have been good, he's a tough guy, but i think would lose out in the end against the above 2.
