House Sell Ban Upheld from the Herald Sun Today
Controversal Kickboxing Promoter Tarik Solak has lost a court big to remove a ban on him selling one of his houses, despite it being based on fraudulent documents.
Supreme Court justive Tony Pagone said the fact Mr Solak's signature had been forgerd to set aside bankwests right over the greenvale house.
Mr Solak had wanted the caveat set aside so he could sell the house.
The home was robbed in 2006 whiel Mr Solak was overseas and copies of the property title and identify documents were taken. Mr Solak discovered the theft when he returned to Australia at the end of June that year.
Justice Pagone, in his civil judgement delivered on tuesday, found that the forger called mortage broker gamel kheir to set up the loan in feb 2006 saying he need the money for the property development in Turkey.
Mr Solaks lawsuit triggered a cascade of claims among the financiers invovled in the mortgage, all of which were dismissed by justive Pagone.
