The following is from WWE.com:
Steel cage matches are especially notorious for pain, but Goldberg was hurting well before he stepped into the cage Monday night against Christian. “Da Man” was suffering from three dislocated bones in his right hand, but hours before his match, he was nonchalant about what had to be an excruciating ailment.
“You would think the gloves would help,” Goldberg said. “Yeah, they do, but it still pops out sometimes. It’s just something I deal with and have dealt with for a long time. It’s nothing new.
“This injury came straight from overtraining,” he said. “I’ve been involved in Muay Thai kickboxing and doing a bunch of boxing, and doing a lot of punching and kicking, and I think I just weakened my hand from hitting the heavy bag so many times. When I go out in the ring sometimes it just pops out. There are three bones that are dislocated. I’m right-handed, but I’ve grown to be ambidextrous from having it hurt so many times.”
