Got to say, yet again I LOVE my job...

For the 2nd time (1st time about 5 years ago at Calder), today I got strapped into Garth Tanders, Toll HSV V8 car and did a few laps around Phillip Island, 2nd only behind my goal of doing laps at The Mountain strapped in to one of these things.

Being a petrol head from way back, a history as a drag racer back in the late 80's (we raced in Super Sedan), I've always loved the pure grunt of a REAL car...

Got to say, it was an experience that had me and every other guest pumped...

I was fortunate to take 3 guests, and to see the look on their faces b4 they got in and when they clambered out is priceless, as is the feeling of the sheer adrenalin rush you get from a V8 Supercar on the countries 2nd best track being pushed around at about a second off official race pace....

That was MY rush, what gets your juices flowing...:D

Was just like a real life version of Grand Tourismo , elevated freeway with big curved concrete walls

From a readout from ECU , i topped out at 303kmh , the owner got up to 312kmh

Running away after throwing a hotdog at a steroid freak was a pretty big rush. Lucky for me I weighed about 40 kg less than him so I was able to outrun him. He was still pretty fast for a block head.

Image saying you did 7 G's in a plane
When the human body cant withsatnd any thing over 5-6 g's
Even the top fighter poilets of the world have problems hitting 7 G's & not passing out

As for the red bull plane pulling 7 g's i dont think so
Even when the show them on tv they dont go over 3 or 4 G's

The F-22 on paper they said can handle 10 G's but even the best poilets cant take it much over 8 G's
With out blacking out

You were pulling some thing that day Voice but it wasnt 7 g's

oh, we have an expert. lol
Do you really want me to respond to this Scotty and make you look like the dope we all know you are?
Would you like me to copy you my pilot's licence I have had for 15yrs or my aerobatics rating from my flying school at http://redbaron.com.au/flight_training/aircraft/

Give up on this one Scotty...the Extra is rated generally for 11G's and the top competition pilots can pull 12G's with a G-suit and modified plane (look at the page I just posted). If you watch the Red Bull races you will see the G-meter hit 11-13 during in inside loop followed by a knifeedge. Pulling 4-7Gs positive (in an upwards direction) is no big deal for anyone over beginner.

Stick to your happy-snap pics and don't talk about that which you have no idea about. And I am not trying to sound like a big-noting w@nker but sometimes clowns need to be informed[:0]

There only doing a tops of +6G's :D

And i have watch the red bull racen on tv with there modified planes & when they show what G's they are pulling in there rolls & what not there not going over 4's

Yes they pull more g's in there rolls & turn but there not going over 4 G's

quote:Would you like me to copy you my pilot's licence I have had for 15yrs or my aerobatics rating from my flying school at

Dont worry about sending me a copy of your licence
I will be in Sydney next weekend
I want to see you fly the plane & do all these rolls & turns while you pull 7 G's

Dont worry i will be there to take photos aswell to show every one just to back your case up

Is that the same as buses and trucks that are "speed limited to 100K"??? or little black suzuki's limited to 100Km's on the Brissy roads;), we all know we exceed "recommended limits"..

Hey Neale, dust of the covers of the plane and take him for a spin after a night on the turps...BYO brown paper bag..:D

haha Bushi, if I didn't have 3 kids I would.
Scotty, I wasn't talking about the Pitts. it is a biplane and not rated so high. The Extra is. I'm not going to bash this in public because you don't know what you are talking about. I will send you a private dude, trust me about the 12G's, then you can get on here and say 'sorry uncle neale, I didn't know what I was talking about but now I do'.
I'm over fighting with ya bud.

13G Scotty, hope you are happy to have shown you are a goose...3-4G you say is max, LOL. 12G is common in the Red Bull races and you can easily find footage on YouTube.
fyi, pilots who are not wearing a G-suit hyperventilate to prevent blackout, that is why they 'puff'.

Do I try to tell you what cameras are best or what apperture setting you should be using when taking your pics? No? Then spare us your misinformed diatribe about things you have absolutely no idea about.

As for taking you for a spin? Let me get that ejection seat set up on the passenger's side then we will be in business. I'm sure you'd puke up yesterday morning's bourbon breakfast before you even got off the ground though.
I can hardly wait for your next educated opinion.
