"I'm going to fight him at 76kg"
"I looked on Mike as a little brother"
Shi*t, it's too long to wait.
I reckon they should move the fight forward to next week.

Fark man, I'm looking all over the place for my No Respect weigh in pics. I have some great ones of Stan and Ozkan together, but think I may have sent my master disc out to someone by mistake.
This is terrible.
Michael S, you don't have a copy floating about that you could check for weigh in pics?
I swear I'm going to smash this stupid ass windows laptop. I probably get 50% cd burn failures compared to my beautiful mac with 99% working.
Mac's suck. Well all the ones i use to use crashed more often than not. :P

I must admit XP in gereral is OKish, except, what's with having to download security patches once every two days.
Bloody hell.
Also, if you have to work with graphics, there's no comparison to a mac's colour management. YOu wouldn't believe the difference in pic quality with all the colour synced up on a mac compared to wintel machine with a some sort of SRGB generic colour settings.
I always work with graphics. And the programs for PC are easier to locate, for me anyway. So yeah, XP rules :P

Well getting back to the topic..lol.
Ozkan better take a good hard look at that pic cos theres more were that came from, iron mike distroyed Behic in that fight and in my opinion Behic is a better fighter the ozcan.
So we can only imagine what ozkan is going to cop!!!!!!!!
Superkick, you say that Jenk is better than Ozkan. So do you think if Ozkan and Jenk fought that Jenk would beat Ozkan? There is a huge power difference between these fighters.

"You saw both Stan and me before and after the fight, we were and still are mates. I didn't take the fight personally, and I don't think Stan did either. But it appears that Mike has".
"So Mike gets emotional and tells Tarik he want's to fight me. Now this time I have taken it personally. He thinks he's the better fighter and that he can beat me. You guys are going to be surprised by how I beat him".
Ozkan is again sparring Mundine in Sydney. I also believe he's going to be fighting on a Mundine undercard in early August. It looks like Gurkan is getting some great hard and fast sparring which has to be just as good for him as it is for Mundine. He told me that the Tim Bell fight purse was priced out of it becoming a reality, so we'll have to see who and if he fights on the Double card show thing.
Mike is renouned as a pretty great boxer. So I'm personally predicting that Ozkan is going to do the surprising again. He surprised me against Stan with the leg kicks, so I'm guessing his hand's are going to be sharper and more accurate than we have ever seen.
Ozkan also says that he hasn't heard anything from Mike or in that case anyone about it being OK for Ozkan to fight at 80kg plus. He also said he didn't expect to, but that 76 is what he considers his real fight weight, and anything under leaves him feeling very weak.
Superkick,
I'll only say that I personally don't think so.
I think Ozkan is going to be more aggressive than we've seen in years. Time will only tell, but it still is fun trying to predict these things.
I actually enjoy them more after the fights, because then we can either sink back and dissapear for a while, while the others sing the opposing fighters praise. Or vice versa of course.

Well ill keep it short jenk is a much more smarter fighter in the ring than ozkan and knows how to fight in the ring but ozkan on the other had is a hot head and only knows how to browl, its not only about power its also about out smarting ur opponent.
Also jenk is a complete gentalmen out side the the ring i run into him in queensland and he was a complete gem and dosnt walk around with a chip on his shoulder like ozkan das.
In my oppinion jenk is the better fighter out of the both of them and acts in a more appropriate manner in side and out side of the ring.

They're some surpising comments superkick.
Firstly,
I agree Jenk is an absolute gentlemen.
I agree that Jenk uses a larger range of weapons.
But, I think when talking about Ozkan's style, I kind of break it up into prior Fyfield and post Fyfield.
I no longer consider Ozkan a brawler. If you look at his fights since Tsakonas II, I reckon he's settled down a lot in regards to fight style.
Also, I think you have to take into account that power hitters are never going to look as fluid as someone like Jenk. Jenk moves around the ring a hell of a lot and does his thing really well. Where as Ozkan seems quite happy to plant his feet and stand there and trade untill someone drops. I think people like Ozkan with great solid chins can afford to do this. And if it wins him fights, I don't see it as being any better or worse than the more fluid fight style.
As regards to chip on his shoulder,
I personally have never seen it. Every time I bump into him he's always the freindliest guy in the room. And always joking about and greeting people.

Superkick, if you think Jenk has a better personality than Ozkan acts morea appropriately, what does that have to do with the statement you made about Jenk being a better fighter than Ozkan. This isn't about who is a better person.
The question is do you think that Jenk would beat Ozkan in a fight?

Wene your a srorts-man u have a responsability to act apropriatly in and out side of the ring. You have young kids looking up to you and have to show a good example.
So i also think that jenk das a better job staying in control and showing a good examle wich makes up a big roll to a fighters carictur allthough u might thing it dasnt.
Wene u talk about fighters u should take evrything into account thats what i was trying to explain u have to look at all angles.
And in ansewring your question yes i thing jenk would beat ozkan in the ring cos jenk is better in and out side of the ring than ozkan.

And also jenk fights world class fighters unlike the so called world champion ozkan..

If Gurkan is a current world champion....when does he ever defend it?????Shouldn't he be more active with defending the world title
he has against quality international opposition in his weight division?????
Superkick,
Of course it's important what a fighter is like in and out of the ring and the example they set, and the image they give to the sport. All that aside though, when you say somebody is a better fighter, I was assuming that you were talking about fighting ability, and only fighting ability.
And you clarified your position in stating that you think Jenk would beat Ozkan, that's all I was asking. And although I strongly disagree with you, it's only opinion. Perhaps P4P one could make a stronger argument in Jenk being better, but saying he is better than Ozkan who would outweigh him by about 8kg is something i don't agree with.
Do we really care about "world champions". They don't mean a lot anymore in kickboxing. K-1 is the future. "k-1 champion is what many aspire to in the relevant weight classes. World titles have lost their appeal, I guess that's perhaps why we don't see as much emphasis on title fights in victoria anymore. And i'm talking kickboxing/k-1 rules not MT.

I know he defended one of them when he fought Daniel Tai in late 2001. I also think possibly against Arthur Tsakonas, but am not certain. And that was only about 10 months ago I think.
