Below waist is better.

Ah, I admit it,
I'm too old to go 12 rounds.
I D.Q myself early every time so as not to be found out.

The old gladiator days of fighting with no time limit until one person gave up seems pretty good.
Above waist it crap.

When you can't walk past a bag at rebel without hitting it.

When you have a library of stuff to enhance your training that you only read once.

When you collect every ticket to every show you go to ( and then you need to dedicate a whole draw to it)

Step 1: When you buy The Age, The Australian, The Herald-Sun a day after every fight promotion in the HOPE there may be a small mention.. photo.. review.. anything!? But alas.. nothing! You curse wildly, unable to understand why there is over 40 pages of damn AFL. Football! And then two pages of lawn bowls!!

Step 2: Repeat step 1 after every promotion in the hope there's a change!

Step 3: Never realise it will change..

Step 4: End up here.. the only local news source!

Step 5: Keep writing meaningless steps to increase your 'member rating' LOL..

Hey guys, we actually did a list of the 50 Ways to Know You're Addicted to Kickboxing in an old issue of IK mag... if anyone has it and has the time to type it out maybe you can whack it on here... I don't have the copy handy... if I remember some of them were:

* You think Stan Longinidis should have been named ahead of Don Bradman as Australian Athlete of the Century

* You start doing the Ram Muay for no reason in your living room

* You like the smell of Thai liniment oil (and use it as a cologne)

* You sit on kickboxing internet chat boards all day and try to think of something meaningful to say

* You do your university thesis on the mechanics of the roundhouse kick

* All you ever wear are T-shirts from various kickboxing promotions (I see so many people still wearing The Crowning gear... my dad wears a Crowning cap!)

* You name your first two sons Stan and Sam

I forgot the rest but there were 50 of them!!!

Michael I have that mag with " Here are fifty sure signs that you are addicted to kickboxing "

Here is Michaels top 10

10.You wear Thai shorts instead of boxer shorts as underwear.

9.You believe that Thai Boxing liniment oil can cure all illnesses.

8.You watch Mike Tyson and think to yourself"Yeah, but could
he take a leg kick!"

7.When you hug your granmother you put her in a Thai grapple.

6.You hang boxing gloves and Thai lucky charms from your cars rear
view mirror.

5.When out to dinner with friends you inevitably lead the coversation to a debate about the outcome of the Longindis vs Alexio fight.

4.When your wife falls asleep you sneak out of bed, hook up the PlayStation and play the K1 game all night trying to win through
as Sam Greco.

3.You believe that Stan Longinidis should have been named Australian Athlete of the Century ahead of Don Bradman.

2.You search through Queensland trash cans looking for Scott Bannons'
world title belt.

AND THE NUMBER ONE SIGN THAT YOU ARE ADDICTED TO KICKBOXING.......

1.When at the doctor's surgery, you insist that he places copies of International Kickboxing and Blitz magazines in the waiting room.

some good ones in there Michael..hehe

I found an old copy of IK mag.....
in it has such articles as
Middleweight War in 94( Louie Iosifidis,Troy Speed,Tony Torcasio,Ian Jacobs,Paul Briggs,Glenn Baragry,Anthony Lapia,Darren Hedgcock and Alex Tui)

K2 Dutch Grand Prix under 84kg (Adam Watt 2nd favourite gets KOed
1st round by little know Russian)

Does anyone have any old IK mags pre 1994??????

My daughter who was doing Karate several years ago actually named her pet rabbits Stan and Oscar.

Being after Stan Longinidis and the other Oscar Delahoya.
But she had to give Oscar away. Too violent and kept ripping the other rabbits up.
