With the year just about coming to a end
What were the stand out monuments you saw in the ring ?
Seen Jess from Boonchu take the knee to the head & get one of the biggest cuts I've ever seen (i heard he got 25 stitches all up)
Bruce getting caught out by Dzahber with that right over hand was a hell of a shock
I sure there are others i could think of with some time
one thing i did miss not seeing this year was Soren Dragons when he walked out, they were great to watch
Also meeting a new good friend of mine Perry pornstar
All the talk you here from the VIC people i was thinking they were just blowing wind up his ass due to him been from VIC
Then meet the guy & had to take back all the nasty things i said about him not to him lol
(but Perry is still all talk lol)
So let hear it what were some stand out moment you saw in the ring

- watching Saenchai rematch Orono & Wuttidet... both awesome displays of MuayThai from the "Rematch King"
- watching Petchboonchu add another 3 titles to his collection
- Wuttidet KO Nong-O at Raja and then Nong-O smash Wuttidet at Lumpinee
- videoing some great Gyms and meeting many Legends of the sport
- meeting people from Australia that I've only spoken to via the net... excluding Scottya :-( you forgot about meeting me ya bastard

Haha had too be. Spellings gotten a lot better, just needs a punctuation book now ;):D.......sorry scottya
For me it would be my mates Pumipi and Tainui getting good coverage in Australia & meeting Tyrone Spong and partying with Yodsanklai in Auckland. Watching them fight live was a real treat.

For me, attending heaps of shows was a highlight, EVO 14 & 15, were the BIGGEST highs....(behind meeting Russ);) and all the other forum regulars..
The emerging talents, like Eilleen (who I havent'seen fight) but great to see young kids coming through so strongly. To many to mention, but she springs to mind as being probably the most active in 2008..
And the undying commitment put in behind the scenes at every gym, both fighters, trainers, supporters & promotions teams that make the sport what it is today..
Bring on 09

do people think muay thai has grown or otherwise from 07 to 08 and what is the view for the next year?
There were some regular names in 07 who we have seen little of this year (eg. Shaggy and Steve Mackinnon who promised to inject new excitement into the local circuit). There were less Xplosion shows, less of Carnage (with good opponents hard to find) and perhaps the credit crisis has seen money tight and fewer big shows. The WBC titles that promised regular high profile bouts seemed to wane somewhat.
On a positive the Contender Asia featured several Aussies and had a big profile and some guys like Eli and Thor had a big year. The Evolution shows kept up a high standard. Hopefully 2009 will be bigger.
I think the K-1 moved forward this year, notwithstanding lots of controversy in the GP. There appears to be a good level of new talent challenging the older guard in both divisions.

Has Muay thai grown YES
After the contender people were saying there numbers were up at there gyms & meant to still holding better numbers since the show
I was told today the contender was the most watch reality TV show in the world or AUS (not sure)of 08
The crowed numbers are up more as well (the end of the year it did die off a bit at some shows) but all still had good numbers
More fighters step up this year like the ones you said Voice plus Soren made more of a name for him self in Thailand
And more Ozzy fighters were fighting over sea's on big events
