In Solak's defense...

O.K - This is a forum and I'm going to exercise the right to my opinion.. (No hate mail please!). Here goes!

Well I'm a big boxing fan and believe me, if you get psd off about Tarik's undercard - try getting a good American P.P.V with a really good undercard. You WONT. I mean no-one shows up until the Main Event! (After spending $1,200 for a tix!?). Why ? Because the budget is on the last 2 fighters of the night.. apparently not much else.

I understand this 'aint U.S.A and this is K.Boxing.. but I'm thinking - considering the market Tarik is targeting.. It doesn't appear the SAME as other local Melbourne/Qld/NSW shows jammed packed of 3hrs of continuous action. Obviously they appear more entertaining THROUGHOUT the night.

But to me, Tarik is a 'MAIN EVENT' promoter - who perhaps budgets for the show/girls etc.. the whole effect of the night - then obviously the Main Event fighters for the night.

Yes.. I've been psd at decisions in the past on his shows.. BUT - I know that certain fights AND fighters may not have been exposed/shown if not for this guy.

I'm not going to comment on the whole saga at the recent show as I'm trying to identify a positive here.

your opinion has been acknowledged, but do people at main event boxing promos throw bottles and crap into the ring??? NO Does Don King get in the ring and act like a monkey??? NO Do people inside and out of this industry all agree that the promoter needs to get some professionalism and grow up??? YES.

time and time again i see tarik get inot the ring and throw his bulls.hit at the crowd. he's not winning the crowd on this one. My dad was disgusted when we went to the ozkan-watt fight last year - professionalism was out the window. And that goes for his show at star city 2 years ago too - where he got in the ring and disgraced fans with his lack of professionalism once again.

Yes, he's putting the big shows on but who's he kidding???

Tarak needs to get out of the sport and the promotions, he is litrualy distroing the sport!

Same mach ups over and over again same fighters, gone are the good old days were the best man wins now its all politics.

I would rather go to the local pub on the weekend id see a better much up fight there and a fair one at that.

i agree superkick, and i will never pay to watch another solak promotion.

i actually considered going on a holiday for the weekend to watch ozkan v stan but after seeing what he has to offer in syd, there is no way.

Bullet - you would definetly go watch either Zam V JWP K1 rules 5 rounds, or Zam v Ozkan - or even Greco v Hunt - comeback fight

the problem is Tarik has most good fighters in his pocket, so you need to deal with him to get the great match ups going.

:) Well Bullet I cannot wait to see your next fight..I actually turned up at Pauls last show and would like to thank him for the ticket.
I saw the fights he put on were not so bad standard I was disapointed that you were not fighting...but saw Arman in which he fought Trent..I like Trent he is a great person
and wish him all the success.but yes it would be good for you to fight our fighters from our sanctioning body it is ashame Paul see us as a nobody sanctioning body, when you look around and see there are alot of bodies going around nowadays....WKA
started the same it takes time to build such sanctioning bodies
and I have spent 9years building WKBF and finding that we are defintely one of the strongest sanctioning bodies in Australia now..It is not very often you have a fighter who represents your sanctioning body win a K1 Grandprix...(Mark Hunt)
I will always let fighters from our body fight anyone anytime any sanctioning body for that is the only way you can say you are a true champion...IT IS NOT ABOUT THE SANCTIONING IT IS ABOUT THE FIGHT..........
Hope Paul finds a opponent for you and goodluck for your next fights..What you said about Tarik is your opinion ,but if you new him he really is a top bloke,it is ashame he comes across to the public like he does....for I have always been a great supporter of his and always will be...
