Cheuk Fai teaches in Chinatown, where he also has kickboxing classes. He was Adam Watt's trainer for quite some time, nice guy as well...

If you want to fight, see the Bulldogs.

a very talented thai boxer from queensland suggest that bulldog gym is definately the way to go.
youve also got pittbull gym at wentworthville.you can do an internet search for both gyms to find their websites.

i used to train at taipan many years ago at bexley, bexley rd.i used to train under david defrancisca, but i think tony favuzzi runs it now.(i think, could be wrong )

Snifa,

i dont have a problem with what you have written, but what are you implying when you say "he runs excellent beginner classes IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER"??

Paul doesn't just run beginner classes mate, he has a program that suits everyones training schedules. beginner classes where everything is back to basics, Fat loss for the heavier students, private lessons by appointment only, fighter training, muay thai classes and a fully equipped gym.

so how does that suggest that it is a gym purely for 'begginners'???

Paul Grima is an excellent trainer and has had many great fighters come out of his operation. Both ones he has developed from scratch, and fighters who already had a lot of experience that he has developed further. He also looks after them very well, in particular the days after their fights he is in regular contact with them to make sure they are OK.

I have never heard any negative feedback such as that mentioned in the post above, and would be most interested to hear from where this has come from...

I have to agree that grimas is a great place for begginers. He really looks after his fighters and is a top bloke. But you have to seperate the man from the trainer.

How many of his boys fight outside of his promotions??? His best boy Bullet has fought that SoneVanarthy dude and beat him but hasnt fought for six months or more. I hear people saying that cause he is the wka rep he cant be seen supporting other sanctioning bodies or that other promoters are tricky so he wont deal with em but his boys lose out getting exposure.

How about Rheinhardt and Bullet????

Good to see ya still kicking legslinger

Duncan, i like the suggestion of reinhard, he is a good guy and it would be an awesome fight, however my best fight weight at the moment is 59kg, whereas reinhard fights at 63 and 61kgs. i come down from around 61-62 to fight at 59 so i am strong at the weight. maybe next year or something.

where are you from duncan???

That's not quite true mate! I have put my fighters on ISKA, WMC, and even IKF shows in the past. I will support any legitamite sanction body that is worldwide, not the figment of someone's imagination. Bullet fought Sone last year on my August show he then fought Andy Donaldson on my November show. I have asked other promoters to find him fights on other promotions no one has come to the party. He was surpose to fight on my last show against Malcom Johnson on my last promotion but unfortunelatey Malcom injuried himself about five days before the promotion I tried to replace the fight but was unsucessful on five days pretty hard. I have tried to get Bullet matched before my next promotion in August but so far have been unsuccessful.

To answer your question about Bullet fighting Reinhard well not yet. Reinhard has had over 25 fights Bullet has had only 9 plus Reinhard has fought as high as 63.5kgs Bullet has fought as high as 59kgs after a couple more fights no problems.

As far as being a good trainer I don't and have never claimed to be nothing more that a trainer doing his best with want he knows and looking after his fighters the best way he can.
I hope this has cleared up any misconception

BULLET im NOT implying that paul only runs a good beginners class and thats where hes talent or training style ends..I was just stating that if rich was a beginner then paul is the way to go.
I have the highest regard for paul and hes training and is also a TOP bloke who i meet about 10yrs ago when my mates got me into a few of hes classes along with them ( before the time paul was bouncer at the general bourke) In fact i have a friend doing classes at pauls gym now and he loves it and thanks me & shane for sending him there

Pitbull is a great gym to train at, Paul looks after everyone there, whether they are fighting or not. The only reason I’m not training there now is that I’m living in London. So Rich, if you can make the trip to Wenty (about 40 mins from the CBD courtesy of cityrail) it’s well worth it.
