Thanks for the interest, but I will say one thing I'm humbeled by the awesome skills of the guys going around today.
I think the fighters have come a long way since the 90's, trainers have developed their skills and Muay Thai training back then
was very raw.
My background was Full Contact Bare Knuckle Karate (Kyokushin) under Eddie Emin, I have also Boxed for a Victorian VABL title and fought
Old Kickboxing rules... what was known as Aust rules no leg kicks at the time ...then with Leg Kick's and fought Mod Thai and Full Thai rules.
My last fight was in Thailand, and i was honoured to have Daniel Dawson, John Scida and Nick Kara doing me corner for me.

I saw Hammer fight at Festival Hall for a title, and I am sure it was not against Romolo Pio.
Was the guys surname Fenech???
Pretty sure it was the Tosca Petridis v. Bruno Campiglia undercard.
Mark, please confirm who your opponent was, it is killing me.
When I was younger I could remember all these details [V]

was that when Fenech came over the ropes and started shadow sparring, threw a spinning kick and landed flat on his arse?
of course NO one in the crowd laughed... much ;)

Geeez you guys remember more than me!!!! hahahaha
Hellfighter, Had my arm broken in my first fight in Thailand at Chaweng Stadium ( was trained by Stephan Fox for this one), it was a close fight and won on pts, that was in 99, the one I mentioned above was 03.
John Cav, the fight at festival Hall was against Simon Fenech, he was another Vic fighter who trained with Ivan Ruffo, Boxer/Kickboxer Dazmon, don't think he ever did Kyokushin. was definatley a war though... also a points win.
Cheers
