Hello kickboxing fans.
I too am a big kickboxing fan. I made the trip down to Melbourne from sydney for the HH vs GLADIATOR fight
I am not writing to have a go at anybody personally (i don't know anybody on a personal level)but i was appalled at the official decision by the judges going HH's way.
I am a fan of both fighters and thought the fight was a good hard fight. Clearly in my eyes and a lot of others, THE GLADIATOR was the winner.
HH's usually lethal kicks, failed him on this occasion having no effect on the GLADIATOR. HH improved his handwork and jab which is the only reason why the GLADIATOR did'nt knock him out. Although the GLADIATOR did drop HH to the canvas in every round and in the 4th round got an 8 count on HH after getting the knee in and knocking HH down. (by the way, i thought the counting starts when the hands hit the canvas, faster counting too)!
This is how i scored the fight : Round 1:GLADIATOR
Round 2:HH(maybe)
Round 3:GLADIATOR
Round 4:GLADIATOR
Round 5:HH
Please let me know how you scored!
It took a lot of class for HH's trainer to announce THE GLADIATOR the winner after the Judges had given it to HH. Clearly this says a lot about the bad judging. The promotor should have reversed the decision straight away. It's still not too late and i think the matter should be addressed properly and seriously.
The fans were mad, the trainers disgusted and both HH and THE GLADIATOR shocked. This is disgraceful.
The fighters put in a lot of time and hard work for the fights they deserve fair judging.
In a recent interview with THE GLADIATOR Evan said "he hasn't been able to commit to work the last couple of years because he wanted to give the sport a serious go". It's fighters like these that are promoting the sport (you should see his fans everybody) and shonky judging and promoters that are rubbishing kickboxing.
I second HH's trainers opinion that Evan THE GLADIATORS record still remains unblemished. Making it 11 out of 11.
Evan you should consider boxing. Boxing is booming in sydney and i know you have loads of fans over here. Just a thought!
Evan Congratulations, you are a humble spirit-filled young man who has won his fans with your charming personality, kindness and passion for the sport. You are a champion who will reap the rewards. God bless you.

Fans write in and tell me what you think.
Can't wait to see the fight on Foxtel.

See Ya In Sydney Maybe Evan?
