I don't think there are bronze medal play-offs in IFMA World Championships. Traditionally there are 2 bronze winners in each competition.

Congrats to all the winners.
Was there an Aussie qualifiers for the games? e.g. In Sweden they have Swedish Championships to qualify only the winners can go fight in the games? Something like this needs to happen or just anyone can go and fight? I am sure if there was more publicity people could get sponsorship or raise money for travel expenses to Championships here in Australia.

Yeah, I would love to get a crew together, if we knew about it. Maybe now that WMC is getting membership money from Gyms and fighters they can give newsletters about these events.

Why should you have to when all contact details are on your membership? No point doing it now until the details are made available by the WMC.

Check the wmc oceania website for the details of up coming events or there are advertisements for the games in Darwin in the world muay thai mag.
There weren't qualifers because there wasn't enough interest whether or not thats because no one new about it or not who knows but the team that went over did australia proud, we may have not had the best or biggest team but we all did our best and fought for the country.
Out of 10 fighters we ended up with 5 medals so thats pretty good I think.
The Arafura games are always in Darwin every 2yrs, this is just the first time Muay Thai will be a part of it...there are about 27other sports as part of these games.
