Bad Boy BADR HARI infutiates MMA Fans

I was commentating DREAM.6 in Tokyo last night. There were a HEAP of VIPS ringside inclding FEDOR EMELIANENKO, Badr Hari, Jerome LeBanner, Caol Uno, Ray Sefo and Badr Hari.

Badr got into the ring and really riled the crowd when he said:

"I came here to see some real fights and all I have seen is a bunch of hugging and kissing. Mirko Cro Cop, Alistair Overeem, Akiyama... all you guys, just hugging and kissing and doing ****. You want to see real fights? You want to fight a real fighter? I will fight any of you, under my rules, K-1 rules, and I will beat you all. Any of you. Come on, in a real fight. None of this hugging and kissing ****."

LOL... the crowd began to boo and jeer the K-1 World Heavyweight champion Bad Boy.... back to his smack talking ways.

Had a chance to chat with him at the show, he is SUPER PSYCHED to fight Choi this weekend on Saturday night in Seoul and says he will end Choi's fight career once and for all.

Roll on the Hari bandwagon!!!!!

BTW, saw FEDOR EMELIANENKO at the hotel here in Seoul, so looks like he will be a special guest at this Saturday night's show. Lots of guests flying in as the card has attracted so much hype, which is another reason why more and more countries are signing on the broadcast. Gonna be huge!

As much as I like Hari's fighting style, I hope he realises that the "hugging and kissing" would beat him unless he had sufficent training & skill in hugging and kissing himself. What he has said is the equivalent of a boxer watching a muay thai show and saying "real men only use their hands, come and fight me under boxing rules and I will smash you all".

Great fighter, even greater tool. I hope he gets challenged to an mma fight and gets g&p'ed out. Look how easily Peter Graham did a takedown on him in their backstage scuffle! Easy to see what will happen if he fights a guy trained and committed to taking the fight to the floor.

I like the guy, very entertaining, but these comments are stupid.
Telling them to come fight under his rules, that wouldn't be a challenge for him.
If he really backed himself then he would tell them to fight him under their rules.

But at the end of the day the man has a reputation to uphold now, and love him or loathe him, he's the future of K1.

Badr is going to raise the name of K1 the way he's going. Whatever happens with his fights, He's produced interest and got people talking about it. Something previous and current K1 champions fail to do at times. Or at least, you have to concede, he's going to raise the profile of the sport another notch somewhat easier than previous generations, because he can talk smack.

I personally arent a fan of the talking smack business, mostly because of the way Mundine went about it... but Hari has a more interesting tact and less annoying one imo. I like him. Go Hari!

Is it just me, or does Hari seem a little vulnerable when it comes to hand exchanges?
Even agaisnt Ray Sefo, whom Hari put away easily in the end, for a while at the start seemed vulnerable with the hand exchanges against Sefo, and I thought he was going to probably get knocked out by Sefo.

Karaev exposed him twice with the hands. Others have done the same. I still think he's biggest weakness though is that he folds like a cheap suit under pressure in the later rounds. Remmy and others have done this to him in the past.

There's nothing funnier than seeing a loudmouth get his trap closed in the ring, but Lord help us all if Badr Hari becomes the real K-1 champ one day. I do think that day is likely to eventually come, too.

I know it was a while ago now, but when the Chief KO'd Hari and really shut him up was a brilliant moment. watched it hundreds of times now

Meh, he's right. Unless you're watching Fedor or other high profile MMAers, there's too much hugging and kissing.

Irrespective of what people think and say, the good strikers still generate the $$$ for MMA. Chuck liddels one punch knockout power reigned supreme for so long as did Vanderlais.

Fedor isn't Fedor without his awesome Sambo and boxing. But he's also not a boring hugger on the ground, forever looking to end the fight and not merely catch his breath and hug and kiss.

Did cro-cop become cro-cop by hugging and kissing his way to the top or was he punching and kicking peoples heads off?

Good on Badr, I like his smack talk.

It's a no brainer he will get pummeled in MMA unless he has an unbelievable ability to avoid being taken down or getting back up and keeping the fight standing.

His offer is perfectly fair.

I hope he ends Choi's career and goes on to do the same for Semmy.

Bring back the old bangers and bruisers not the "jab-fights over" or "front kick-fights over" sloppiness of the current champs style.
