hi all just heard Evan Tanner was found dead in the dessert near his home,it was said he went out on a hike and ran out of water, a text message sent from his phone to a friends said' need help im out of water" they found him this morning after 2 days of searching......

What a shame to hear that, he's had a lot of problems but last I read he was on the up and up.

He was a great fighter, all heart - RIP.

he was one off the first all round MMA fighters,never backed down from a fight didnt care what weight..true warrior

Yeah Evan was just sorting out his own personal problems and had just got back into shape and training after a long break. Real shame...

Sad news i always enjoyed watching him fight was always an underdog that got up....
my favourite fight was Vs Baroni 1, so much damage to both guys so early...with Tanner finishing with g&p

agreed the 1st Baroni fight was awesome.
When i first heard saw it in a threadi thought some f'ker was playing a joke, then i saw the articles about it.
