Hey people, K1 Taipei is HUGE! we had the press conference today... man there was so much press there its just unbelievable! the press are all over Mick just because he is 17 years old...Hope he wins. We have met Remy Bonjaskey, Ray Sefo,Pichkunov,Zabit Samedov and Ruslan they're all cool. I've go some good pic's i'll post when we get back. weigh in tomorrow anyway just an update. I'll post soon. thanks to everyone for their well wishes.

Mick... well maybe he was a little overwhelmed by it all...

I was able to watch it online and it was just an amazing spectacle (as you would expect from K1 I guess)...

Sefo's fight went to extension round but he lost in the end...

Jason and the boys have had such an amazing time over there - i'm sure he will get on here from the airport today to elaborate.

I'm currently leeching the full Korean broadcast, but have just found out that it is reasonably poor quality. Once i have a decent version, I will try to upload the fight here.

Win, lose or draw there aren't many fighters out there who can say they have fought on a K1 card, so congrats to Mick. Only 17 and fighting on the biggest promotion on earth. Best of luck to him!

True, ChrisQ... must have been so daunting walking out to that spectacle... I think there were nearly 10,000 people there. And his opponent was HEAPS more experienced...

It was a crazy crowd, around 8,000 - 10,000, and so parochial... very hostile crowd for Mick and Matt to fight in front of. Both guys should be very proud and I know they relished the K-1 experience.

By the way, Hironaka, GREAT call on Karaev winning. He was awesome. I tipped the all russian final but I thought Alex would win it, though on the day after seeing both in their semi's I knew Ruslan would get it as Alex just starts way too slow and Ruslan was on fire.

Karaev and Glaube are probably the best B-level guys on the K1 Circuit at present.

well well well K1 is the bomb! what can i say to Mick and Matt - what an experience! that will be something to tell the grand kids boys.
