Yes it is true, he is fighting Mike Angove in Christchurch NZ on the 26th then Chris on the 28th - don't ask me why!

I think Chris stands a good chance of winning. I doubt Peter is going to be in Peak condition just two days after a fight. Man, it would have to hurt bad being kicked in well ripe bruises, and Chris isn't a lite kicker.
I don't know guys, but I'd like to see Graham giving K1 his all this year, but this thing mentioned above has allready got me concerned that he's not going to be 100% commited. I mean the K-1 path is the way to riches, and that would take precedent in my books. Perhaps he just commited to the other fight before this one.
I dunno,
I wish him the best regardless.

Perhaps Angove is an easy beat? Never heard of him to be quite honest.

Angove is a former world amateur cruiserweight champion and former NZ 8 man cruiserweight champion. He only made the move the heavyweight last November for the K-1 NZ. He will only weigh about 92kg and is trained by the great Lollo Heimuli. He is a very well known fighter in New Zealand and my verbal sparring partner on SKY TV and TV2... as for him against Graham, well, put it this way. Neither man is a knockout fighter, Peter will have a huge size advantage but Mike is very very smart and technically beautiful to watch. He will not KO peter but he might damage peter's legs and body, which will make it very hard for Peter to take on a big leg smasher like Chrisopoulidis two days later.

Angove was an amateur cruiserweight world champion. I think he also won a Kiwi cruiser-weight tourny, but not certain.
He's very fit and I think he'll take Graham into the latter rounds at least. I think Peter is going to have to try and end that fight ASAP, he'll have about a 20kg advantage, so maybe he'll try and stop Angove early with leck kicks. But Angove's pretty ring smart, so who knows.

Hey Michael,
Don't you reckon Angove and Chapman look like brothers?
I remeber the first time I saw Chapman, I thought ****, that blokes lost a lot of weight since I last saw him fighting cruisers.

LOL! That's a first! You wanna see a Chopper lookalike, have a look at the dude in Peter Aerts' corner at the K-1 Saitama show. Now that's Chopper when he hits 40!

I'll have to check him out.
Lucy once asked me what Chapman was like,
The only way I could explain him was to tell her to think of a skinnier Mike Angove.
She rang me up later after she had seen Chapman somewhere and was laughing and saying 'Man, good description'.
I think it's probably just the really blonde hair and super fit physique maybe.

Hi Guys,
I got a call in the new year asking if Peter would defend his World title back in Dunedin ..Peter signed contract 3rd week January originally going to fight Jason Suttie but jason could not fight due to NZVs Crotia K1 so Mike took his place..as you all know I no longer manage any of the K1 fighters anymore due to
politics etc...I did not know Peter was back in the K1 and honestly I think Peter did not expect to be fighting on Tariks card either until March when he found out he was fighting Chris Chrispoluidis and tried to pull the plug on the NZ fight the promoter said he will sue him if he did not turn up due to signing contract and they have already spent thousands of dollars advertising the event in NZ, so Peter has to fufill his comittment to signing his first contract of the year, I guess it is just one of those things when you become your own manager and take on such commitments in this sport..
I am sure he will come through with both fights for he is hungrier than ever ..and knows what lies ahead when you become a K1 Champion that has always been his pipeline dream lets hope he does not stuff it up again now he has another chance in the K1 circuit...........
Regards
Lucy Tui
