Hi all
I know this thread has been up before but i can now give a rundown of Pixie's opponent his name is Saiyoknoi Sakchainarong he is rated number 1 at both Rajadarmnern and Lumpinii stadiums at 147lbs which is Pixies weight he is a very big left kicker and punches hard, Pixie has been over at Eminent Air Bangkok for the last few weeks getting ready for this fight.
Also Aaron Leigh is having a rematch with Ruang Arun, with Aaron making his long awaited comeback from a wrist injury.
Preacher is on this card as well he fights a Japanese opponent so he tells me, and Shaggy fights a Hong Kong boy as does Kirshall Wallace so all in all should be another good night of fights,,

Cheers Mark Pease

Got to say i dont think Pixie ever gets a easy fight
I hope Ben stays at 66kgs
Winning this fight would have to put him in the number one spot for a world title

Yeah no doubting Sakyoknoi is a star, has the belts and the titles to back it up!
But that said we have done our research and watched some videos and Mark and Pixie have a plan.
As Mark said Pix has been over at Eminent Air and he is looking as fit and sharp as we have ever seen him.
As Scottya said he very rarely gets easy fights, which is just the way he likes it, and Pixies greatest skill is his ability to do what he his told.
Should be a good fight!

too spunky shaggy by a draw? i was told he won

ok i just spoke to shaggy and got the low down
the decision was initially awarded to the local hong kong boy.
the crowd were absalutely annoyed with the decision and gave shaggy a standing ovasion when he left
the ring, and booed the local boy. the wmc official that was there over turned the decision and called
shaggy back out and gave him the win. later in the night shaggy was awarded fighter of the night.
then later on he was called back out into the ring and the decision was changed again to a draw.

I was in the crowd and a local interpreting for me said that the decision had been changed from a loss to a draw, but when I spoke to Shaggy he said they told him the decision would be reversed and he would be the winner. I guess they told him one thing and the crwod the other to save face for both sides. BTW the Hong Kong crowd were great, they booed the result when their local fighter was declared the winner - good fair crowd.

Ozzy boys did great (Shaggy wore Aussie Flag boardshorts and Preacher wore Aussie kangaroo shorts. Represent!!!! )

Here is my input re the fights:

King-Chung Ng (Hong Kong) vs Michael Lyndon (Australia) - The aussie boy seemed shell shocked and didnt really start fighting. Got smashed for two rounds and stopped early in the third.

Bryan "Stormy Kid" To (Hong Kong) vs Kershall Wallace (Australia)
Kershall had a higher workrate and landed some great right body kicks. To was strong though and threw strong single strike combinations, moving forward for a lot of the fight. Hometown decision??

Jimmy Leung (Hong Kong) vs Shannon "Shaggy" King (Australia)
Shaggy fought with left hooks, right elbows and more roundkicks than I have seen him throw before, dominating as the fight progressed. Clear winner though the decision went against him, but was changed toa draw or win later???

Ka-Man Kwok (Hong Kong) vs Genki Nakamura (Japan), 61 kg
Nakamura ICED Kwok with an elbow

Bill Chong (Hong Kong) vs Jamau (Thailand), 66 kg
Jamau looked in total control for two rounds, but then something clicked in Chong. Chong fired up hard and the fight turned into the war of the night with an elbowfest sparking up in the blue corner in the 4th? round. Awesome comeback from Chong, the fight was a draw.

Ben "Pixie" Burton (Australia) vs Saiyok Pumpanmuang (formerly known as "Saiyoknoi Sakchainarong") (Thailand)
Fight barely started and a glancing elbow cut Burton high on the front/top of his head. Seemed to be stopped too early. In the short time they did fight, the Thai looked damn solid, balanced and F*&%ing strong.

Bruce "Preacher" MacFie (Australia) vs Shinku Yanagawa (Japan),
Preacher didnt look himself to start, slightly mistiming punches. However towards the third round started to totally dominated the japanese. It was looking like a KO would result in the fourth with Preacher landing some good straight knees and punch combinations. In the fifth Preacher looked like he wanted a KO, but the fight was stopped after a cut on the Japanese fighetrs head (head clash?)

Aaron "TS2" Leigh (Australia) vs Ruang Arun (Thailand),
Both fighters started strongly with Leigh ahving a higher workrate. It was a seesawing fight with the Thai repeatedly trying to re establish the fight after Leigh unleashed combos on him. Leigh landed stronger and stronger combos, opening up a cut to the forehead at one point.
Leigh ended up landing punishing combos and finsihing with a cracking right elbow to finish the Thai (woo hoo!)

No, the decision was only changed once. That was from the local boy's win to a draw.

Shaggy was awarded the foreign fighter of the night and Bill Chong was awarded the local fighter of the night.
