Reasons to Watch K-1 Max LIVE on Main Event
Marc Vogel vs Alviar Lima
This card is so stacked that every fight is worthy of a main event, from Zambidis vs Kraus to Masato vs Drago (heart attack stuff) to Buakaw vs Sato and Morkevicius vs Dida.
For the purists, the anticipation of see Marc Vogel vs Alviar Lima is truly mouth watering.
Vogel hails from the all-conquering GOLDEN GLORY GYM which has produced the likes of Semmy Schilt, Stefan Leko and Errol Zimmerman under the watchful eyes of its legendary trainers Ramon Dekkers and Cor Hemmers. A WBC Intercontinental Champion with an imposing record of 33 wins from 38 fights, Vogel makes his debut under the K-1 Max banner on July 7. He will be most familiar to you as a former Super League fighter of very high standing.
His opponent, Lima, hails from the SuperPro gym which is most renowned as the home of Albert Kraus. Lima is a WFCA European champion with a boxing, kickboxing and Karate background and has had just the one fight in K-1 Max against Warren Stevelmans whom he lost a decision to. As SPADA so rightly informed me, Lima went undefeated in his time in Super League and has beaten such names as: Kamel El Amrani, Marko Stunkle, Jose Reis and Fadi Merza.
Any way you dissect this one, it should be an entertaining fight between two class acts, and is the perfect addition as a super fight to K-1 Max's already incredible stacked card. This is one for former Super League fans and WILL NOT fail to impress.
Who wins? Vogel or Lima? Lima is a true darkhorse. Both have great records. We will see on July 7 on MAIN EVENT.
