How come alot of Melbourne fights are on Sunday nights now.
I used to love going down on a Saturday night but just cant make the Sunday night shows. Any chance of getting some Saturday night ones soon.

Venues tend to be a lot cheaper to hire on Sunday nights.
Also availability issues on Friday/Sat nights are always a concern.

i think it's just a conspiracy to keep Sharon away from the fight nights ;)

Haha southy!

I also agree with Shaz, makes it hard for many people to get to fights, whether you are local or not. But understand the viability issues as well. Again it comes down to you, go or not, and dvds are always cheap!

I also thought the same. I was getting paranoid about it.
Promoters be aware I dont drink that much anymore, I have a new AA sponsor his name is Kevin Rudd.

surely promoters will be making a lot more money from selling selling a lot more alcohol on a saturday night as opposed to a sunday where people will be restricted by work committments on a monday.

from a fighters point of view, fighting on a sunday sucks bigtime, opposed to saturday nights.
especially if you have to work the next day.

I'm sure venue pricing is a big issue in regards to Saturday night fights , along with the fact that a lot of people have alternative plans on saturday evenings "parties, weddings, engagements, etc, etc" , where as for a lot of people sundays are a bit more of a free day spent relaxing extra , so for the promoter there would be the general concensus that there is an opportunity for a "bigger" crowd on a sunday .....personally,as long as it's not too late an evening I think it's fine.

I think as a sunday afternoon session, it would suit more people... a bit like a sunday arvo g-bung session. Or for those with little people a bit more family time.

Pesonally thing the the saturday night thing is still more fun.
