Stick to the topic gents, lets not turn this into a witch hunt now..
I can't see Kraus beating Zam. Technically v.good and high workrate, but I suspect that Zam will eventually catch up with him and knock him out.

Do use think the KO scared zambidis off abit? Maybe he will be a bit more cautious with his plan?
Kraus was totally pi$$ed after the buakaw match. He hasnt had a win this year and his improved heaps. I dont think there will be a K0.
Will be good no matter what happens.

this is a very very difficult fight to pick. Both guys are sluggers and can each KO with ease. Zambo was only shaded by a rather quiet Souwer for the K1 qualification fight recently so I would probably say Zam is in slightly better form but I don`t know...
I`m thinking Kraus by points but it really could go either way so sorry for fence sitting at present.

By the way, I'm stoked to see Morkevicius back... if you havent seen him do a Youtube search on him... the guy is wicked to watch. And against Andre Dida, who swings for the ropes every time, it will be a crazy fight.

Yeah mate i'll have it on at mine, you're welcome to come over.
Backing Kraus for the win. He'll fight smarter this time and not trade as much. I reckon his boxing is slicker and he'll edge out the points.
However, if Zambo's bombs get through he could easily get an 8-count or KO for the win.
Has Zambo fought Drago yet? That'd be a cracker!

now ending with a fight against kraus ?
i hope kraus gets his revenge

You just couldn't resist - could you ??
What makes you think his career is ending ?
Where did you ever get that idea ?
I'm glad you hope Kraus gets his revenge - you've allways been wrong when it comes to Zambidis.
You're his lucky charm mate - keep em coming !!

XYGT351, you should learn to take peoples comments lightly.
This is a discussion board.
Zambo hasnt been having much of a good run in k1max lately. Lost to masato, buakaw, sato, kysenko and souwer. Kraus will be a challenge for zambo, i dont think it will be a walk in the park. I could be wrong, who knows.
Though with everyone improving, it will slowly close the gap between the top 3 and the rest.
XYGT351
25-05-2008, 12:28 AM
You obviously don't know Dynamite Drew.
I totally agree with everything you said. Of course Kraus will be a great challenge for Mike. I never said Mike was gonna hammer him or anything like that - it's gonna be a war and may the best fighter win.

Zambo vs kraus will be a ripper,Kraus's last performance was awsome, and Zambo will be out to get a big win..IMO Zambo will win in ex round.

XY ,
your comments are so expected
as usual , you twist and turn anything said not supporting zam to suit you own idea of zam being a god etc etc and should be revered by all
i didnt say his career was ending , i asked the question was it ending with the fight against kraus
i believe his contract with k-1 ends soon and seeing he has never made it past the final 8 and with all the great new talents coming thru and winning , i cant see them renewing his contract
i think kraus maybe on shaky ground too when his contract expires

If it was a question, then I apologize.
I guess I'm just so used to your sarcastic/negative comments that I automatically took it as another one.
You are right though - with all the new talent coming in (which is great) it does make it harder for the older fighters.
I think after their performance though (in their last fights) they deserve another crack at it. It'll be such a shame if they didn't get one.
Good luck to both of 'em.

[quote]
how does zam deserve another crack ?
he got KO`d , thats a pretty comprehensive way to lose
he also has had what,5 years in k-1 and never made it past the final 8
competition is even harder now and cant see how he could make the final 8 now more than ever
the other fighters have much better skills and techniques
kraus , well yes and no
.. yes because i and many thought he won the extension round
.. no because i think he was lucky to get the extension round
that said ,it was one of kraus` best fights of late but is it enough ?
he is also a very popular figure in japan too so they may keep for a couple of more years
XYGT351
26-05-2008, 06:46 PM
You're kidding me aren't ya ?
Yeah - Mike got ko'ed but up until that point (which was half way thru the extra round), he was doing fantastic - against the two-time world champ!
Even Souwer said he's never been hit so hard.
Mike gave one of his best performances in his career and shook the **** out of the world champ. If that doesn't deserve another crack, well I don't know what does.
By the way, popularity wise, Mike is way above Kraus in Japan.
Like I said, I'd want both of em to continue - in everyones eyes (except for yours maybe), they are still contenders and a threat.

Zambo has made the final 8 something like 4 times. Don't know what version of history you are referring to here.
Though I'm sure you will now backtrack on this error and find something else to criticise about him making the final 8.

zam doing fantastic ? yeah only in your zam is god world
souwer was never in trouble against zam , absolutely bashed his legs , made his `jumping knee` look pityful and then cleanly KO`d him
as for mike being way above kraus in popularity , dont think so !!!
u ever been to japan ?
when i was in japan , some of my japanese female friends all loved kraus , some liked him more than masato
not talking about fighting here , but in looks
many jap girls love kraus because of his looks
he also speaks japanese which makes him popular with the japanese as well
having trained in a few gyms when i was in japan , zam`s name rarely got a mention
i dont know where ya got you info from re: zam being above kraus in popularity

Premature to be calling for Zambidis to quit. Even though he got KO'd against Souwer, it was by no means a bad performance. IMO alot of fighters have worked him out.
Kraus is still young, around 27. Probably won't win the MAX GP (barring injuries) but still competitive.

btw, Kraus speaks poor and broken Japanese. At last years` PC he struggled to say that he was going to be No 1 and thanks for coming. (Japanese for Dummies teaches you that in 10mins).

Kraus, souwer and masato are they only ones who have beaten buakaw in max.
Also won the first max tournament.
lol jap girls will always pick the pretty face.
Though the jap crowd love a good slug match too. Zambidis hasnt gave a big KO in a while. Most of the fighters know not to go into a slug with zambidis so its very hard for him to lay one down.
Kraus always has a pretty face so he doesnt have to do much work for the crowd to love him lol.
Though drew has a point aswell with the crowd. Even if kraus just knew a few japanese words, the would love him for it. Its like the chinese voters who voted for rudd because he could speak chinese.
Though i dont think they would keep him around just because of that unless he can sell heaps of merchandise. The japanese crowd would fill the stadium no matter whos fighting.

not everybody in the fight world does , but i have the guts the say it public
im not scared of offending anyone , i dont like his fight style , think he is nothing but a big punch and i have every right in the world to state that
this is a public forum , im not saying anything that society wouldnt tolerate

IMHO Im also not a fan of his fight style either drew.
Im just more of a legs fan.
This is one of the reasons why im starting to get sick of some of the local shows. Its displayed as muay thai but some of the fighters are basicly just good boxers who know how to check and throw in a low kick with there combo.

Yes, it will be a cracker of a fight and I'm sure that Kraus will be keeping his chin tucked in a little tighter this time....Kraus has been fighting well at the moment but i'm tipping in the way of Zambidis, I think Kraus will be "too" wary of the Zambidis power and it will affect him , It's a BIG fight for both boys though , they will both be looking to impress the K1 organisers for another shot at the Max .

in a way it is almost better to have Mike doing superfights going forward...that way he can be matched with similar fighters (like Drago, Kraus, Masato etc) which produce very entertaining and even fights rather than the one he is likely to get in the 8 draw like Kyshenko or Sato. His limited reached makes it hard to get inside of those guys and the fight is not so entertaining, like last year`s Final 8.
I am really struggling to pick a winner in this fight. Aggression and KO power goes to Mike, toughness, durability and variation goes to Kraus.
Dynamite Drew
27-05-2008, 11:51 PM
i agree with voice , harder to pick than a broken nose
so many variables .....
can zam land the KO punch again ?
will kraus be over cautious because of being KO`d by zam before ?
will zam be over cautious because of being KO`d last fight ?
will kraus go for the ultimate revenge and try to KO zam ?
or will he get too caught up in it and end up being KO`d himself ?
i hope that kraus does get his revenge , KO or points either way still a win and revenge
if he fights like he did against buakaw and doesnt get KO`d , then i think he will win
