ChrisQ

Would make for a good fight. My money would still be on Tass though.
Either way will be a great show, the shows at QBH always are. Best fight venue in town IMO.

I hear Terry is fighting boxing only now. He is a very good fighter, i like that guy!!!! Whats with Turkey Vs Greece nights anyway? i just dont get it... Maybe i am just a silly aussie- but is it seriously important to you guys? i need a serious culture lesson people cause i dont know what the fuss is about- (seriously can someone enlighten me?) i like fighter Vs fighter (end of story)

I'm with Rickstar. I would much prefer fighter vs fighter instead of country vs country. Terry Tzouramanis is only boxing now and has had 2 fights this year for 2 wins. Big Bens Gym only trains boxers now.

I think thats a bit of a rough comment on the fighters who are on this card. Whether they have had 30 or 3 fights, they still give it there all in the ring.

These cards are quite often the cards that have the good quality local fights. Terry Vs Steve Baldachinno comes to mind, and I'm sure others could name some more.

ABOUT TIME someone had the balls to say something about these
bvllsht shows were promoters try to pit country against country in order to pull a crowd so he can cover up his pittyfull fight
card .come on boys TARIK has gone dont try being another tarik
theres only ever been one super promoter and honstley people and
fight fans arnt realy that stupid so dont be like another melbourne
promoter and open those cob-web pockets up and pay for some real
fighters that local fans want to see or simply call this show [
NIGHT OF NOVICES & BACKYARD BUMS ] wake up to YOUR-SELF

IT's not 2 hard 2 work out who this is, First u jump on licking
jason tramseks balls and pumping him up sky high, then u seem 2
know so much intel about the promoters world and then u go bag other
fighters/promoters that arnt affilated with team ultimate, it's
actuly so sad 2 c a grown man act out like u do.

P.S. U have exactly the same writing style as Carl tramsek(jason's
Father) lol and a very bad and ungrammered writing style.. thats how
i realised it was u, known 4 a while now.

I think you might be off the mark MTF, cos if you read this link http://www.sportzblitz.net/Forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1.53125&TOPIC_ID=12684#173255 he said much the same think, so i DOUBT it's who you think it is..

At the end of the day it's simple, you go watch the shows / fights YOU think are worth paying to see, and Ultimte and Fight Force get more bums on seats that other shows, so they are putting on what their fans / supporters want to see, that's their job in promoting to their respective markets and they do it well.

Turkmen, I looked at it and thought SMART marketing, cos it DOES NOT say they are fighting each other, it just shows their heritage, which, if that captures the attention of the fans of the respective nationalities and it puts bums on seats, so be it..

Anyway, you should go support Mehmet, he's of Turkish decent and that's who you follow... Good fighter too... When will we see him fighting with Knees again Michael..;)

you are not going to see Tass Vs Mehmet or Steve James, in the near future because they all Train out of Sting Gym. These guys sparr each other every week. Tass Train's with Bill from Sharks gym but the use our gym.
I was offered Ben White to fight Mehmet Ceyhan Under Thai Rules on Im's show in July. I Am considering this fight with the only problem being that I am 99% sure Mehmet prefers Kickboxing Rules. I am sure we can meet half way and take it with A-1 Rules. [8D]

Maybe in a-1 rules, or or if Tass is willing to fight under thai rules, Michael Demitriou vs. Tass Tsitsiras. That would be mad.

By the way, Michael, just a suggestion from a fan (me, lol), I know most of the matches on your show are kickboxing rules matches, but I'd prefer to see as many kickboxing rules matches on your show as possible, and less Muay Thai/K-1/MMA matches.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Muay Thai, and do Muay Thai, however I still appreciate kickboxing, and I'd like to see the art of kickboxing continue because unfortunetely it's dieing out quickley, even in Melbourne, and your one of the few promoters in Australia that still has kickboxing rules matches on his show.

And another thing. Your show last time went for 5 hours, which is tough on a Sunday night, when we have work early the next morning [:p]
A shorter 3 1/2 hour show would do fine lol
Just some suggestions, keep up the good work.

Hi Assassin, It might seem that Kickboxing is loosing its footing but I can justify the facts.
Fightforce- Attendence at QBH are 5 to 10 times what you would get on any Muay Thai Show in Melbourne Without disrespecting Muay Thai Shows. They are still growing.
The trueth is the only events that will effect Kickboxing in Melbourne will be MMA.
This transision has already happened in several countries around the world. Las Vagas MMA is the go. And where the money is for the fighters.

As for the 5 hour show at QBH (Sundays). the show starts at 7pm SHARP. It is over in 3 to 3.5 Hours. ALWAYS... The Boxing Ring is in the Truck by 12.30am...
But if you are including the Door opening times in your Calc I can't help you....

Hi KateB,

Well he did compete for Australia considering he lives here, obviously, however he is of Greek blood.

Now, whether you consider him Australian or Greek is up to the individual, or any 2nd generation Greek living here, an Australian or Greek is also up to the individual.... However Stan is a member of Greek youth club's, such as the ''Hellas Fan Club'', and has made entrances to the ring with the Greek flag, and had the Greek flag on his shorts, has represented Greece in team kickboxing events before, therefore it is not wrong to call him a Greek in my opinion :)

kate won her fight but i missed it
gerry koutis(sp?) stopped the lad he was fighting in the third . . not sure exactly how/what with but the kid was limping like mad from the second and looked like he said "my leg is ****ed"
two birds fought for some title (four rounds + shin guards?) the taller leaner one won it, deservingly)
rugierre stopped nick raptis with a body rip in the 1st
nathan gamble vs mohammed ashna was also for a title belt(4 rounds and shinguards again . .wtf?), some muay thai one this time. nathan came out nicely in the first round with a high work rate, landing a lot of punches. unlucky to get an 8count against him after mohammed caught his kick and dumped him. second round much the same, nathan doing more of the work. last two rounds mohammed turned it up a bit. didn't see the decision but assuming mohammed took the win on points.

went home after that.

And i agree with him well done tass keep training hard.

That was unfortunate for the 8 count because the same punch and dump was executed but the 8 count was not applied. I think the ref should of been consistent. (maybe i seen it wrong)

Thanks Kevin, I know you prefer the Knee fights but I do think you did well in kickboxing anyway.
And yes Aaron fought again because of the last minate pull out of a fighter on Gerry. Gerry has had 3 pull outs on 3 of my shows so I made sure not matter what, he would get a opponent. Aaron step in with 1 day notice and was even winning the early round but got cought in the 3rd round and lucky for Gerry because with only 1 fight record on Gerry's card, Aaron was Too experienced for Gerry. Gerry got the win by TKO.
Gerry is 34 years old and as a late starter to kickboxing I respect his determination in getting in and having a go.

Anyone notice the photos, Kate Bruzzanti and Simone Khoury fought no shin pads and yet the title fighters wore them, what is the go with that?????????
If your good enough to fight for a title then why wear shinny's????
I am not bagging the fighters, but if your putting on title fights show some guts and get rid of the pads.

yea, wondered about that on the night. tink i saw a trainer make a reference to it before a fight too.. . it's kinda weird, 'specially when other states don't wear them ever.

The shin pad rule is fu-.ck up in Victoria. You are allowed to elbow, knee but you must use shin pads with uder 5 fights under you belt. and yes the boards rule are changing in July with only 3 fights for shin pads. The opponent's team wanted shin pads. They told me a few weeks before the show But I failed to relay this to The other side because the few time I rang I didn't get through to them so I forgot after a few days and only found out the misunderstanding on the night.

3 fights for shin guards is better, considering a lot of fighters are doing amateur & novice events these days to get experience before the big shows like Fight Force.

I wasn't aware it was changing to 3 fights. If so that's a much better rule that can only benefit the sport.

Good to see some common sense being used when decisions on guidelines are made.
