Sorry JANER im going with Wayne, he has much better boxing skills than Mike. Mike is a tough guy but i think wayne has more experience than Mike does when it come to the hand skills dept. As well as that Paul & Wayne train together and they will both be fighting on the night.

I think it will be a great fight, but I think Parr has too much power and boxing experience for Cope. I think Parr by KO.

Don't forget Cope has been the distance with Soliman (even though Soliman gave him a tough fight), he still stood. I don't think Cope will go down that easy, plus he has had a few recent boxing matches

Guys, I thought Wayne Parr gave boxing away, to return to his beloved Muay Thai? I'm sure I read that somewhere..

But thinking about it now - Pro Boxing under a Briggs fight is a smart way to get more recognition..

My opinion - JWP decision.. no KO's in this one

Just remember Parr hits much harder than Soliman, just look up their KO win ratio's. If Soliman had more punching power, I'm sure he'd be a world Champion, because he has everything else.

I think that I read somewhere on one of the forums that Wayne just doing it as a why not sort of thing. I don't think he's going to be leaving MT again.

Actually, Scott posted a link to an interview by a boxing journo.

Oh, forgot to say that I think this fight should be awesome. As Janer has said, both are move forward type fighters, but I think Wayne will win.

When Parr first got into boxing, I thought that this would be bad. The fact that he's too agressive, even when he is taking monster shots. You know, the scenario against someone who's been bobing and weaving for a couple of decades etc. But Parr totally floored me with how good he was as a boxer. To be fighting Nader, and in my oppinion winning, after only 10 or so boxing matches, to me was a bloody impressive feat.

I was watching Mike Cope fight Sam Soliman a while back, and remember thinking damn, this is how I imagined Parr would go against good boxers. The boxer just tagging him with millions of jabs, and the former MT guy too stubborn to not keep moving forward. But not so. I think he was doing great, and was surprised when he stopped boxing, and am glad he's back to Kickboxing and MT.

Like many other posts on this thread, I think Wayne would be far to strong for Mike, both with hands and legs.

I heard that Parr KO'd Cope(like I predicted) in their boxing bout yesterday. Did anyone see the show?

JWP bearly worked up a sweat before some very sweet shots koed Cope. Was a ripper of a KO. Nice work JWP. Cope's ring walk and enterance was pretty cool, but Wayne Parr's was huge with the whole crowd on their feet cheering, what an Atmos.

Just a thought, Why doesn't Dawson(undefeated in 4 boxing bouts) have a crack at Cope now? Both guys a relatively inexperienced and we can see how well they both go. Maybe then if Dawson is successfull, he could fight Parr in a boxing bout.. In my opinion, it just seems Dawson didn't want to fight JWP in Muay Thai(He challenges JWP then turns around and retires before their fight, funny that) so why not Boxing? What do you guys think?
