Hey guys,

I'm still trying to get info on Pat Christophi's fight background.
He seemed very well known and very popular at John Scida's show, but Pat must have stopped fighting just as I started photographing the sport, so am totally clueless as to which level he had gotten too.

Can someone help with a fight record, or any opponents that you remember.

Pat seemed a very aggressive fighter. I always like watching two such fighters in the ring at one time. You know, like maybe against Kara or Meads some time down the track, but again don't know what sort of level Pat achieved.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know roughly how many fights Janer?

10, 15, 20 ???

I was thinking he must be pretty experienced for Baris to have gone to him after being trained by Jemal Hassan.

He was fighting like from way back. Id say at least 5 years ago. All the fights i have seen him in were losses. Probably less than 11 fights all together. I could be wrong though...

I remember him wearing his puffy black and blue sleavless jacket! He looked pretty mean with a great phyisque. In that pick looks like he has a bit of a gut.. Unless he was exhaling.

Pat's won at least two Australian titles ( I think, I know he's won at least one). When he fought a few years back he was a an excellent cruiserwieght. Illness held him back back a fair bit I think, and he had to stop fighting a few times due to cancer.

Sorry, didn't mean to contradict myself with the two 'at leasts'.

I must say Pat would be one of my favourites in Melbourne I remember when he would fight in the past and how missed matched he was and now happy to see he is been looked after ..We need more Pats in the ring did you see what he did on the night gave his trophy to his opponent and was a gentleman in the ring I was so proud of him he spoke like a true sportsman and that is what this sport needs..goodluck Pat for your future fights I hope to be at your next one...

Lucy Tui

The only man that played 4 songs before his entrance song and handed out his own posters before a fight. He has to be up there with George the Iron Lion and thunderlegs- I just feel they have him pipped because they have honestly fought more credible opponents.

has he officially retired?

He fought the 1 man gang then a few fights on a vukovic/scida show. Pulls in the crowds!! Bring back the old school.

Hi Bruce, Pat is usually at the Rumble in the Jungle shows, ringside, hope he doesn't see you there. Pat is a legend, I'd never make fun of him, I like being able to breathe...
