View Full Version : If You Could Only... WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
admin

Just an interesting question I'd like to throw up...
If you were only allowed to watch THREE kickboxers for the rest of this year, which three would you choose to watch? (they can be Aussies, internationals, Muay Thai, kickboxing or K-1)
I'd be interested to see what people answer... try to limit it to THREE as this makes it much more difficult and interesting as you really have to think which THREE kickboxers ring your bell and which three you would choose to watch if you could only watch three.
Thanks.

1. Jenk Behic; win, lose or draw, he fights to the point of exhaustion and beyond. Has taken no short cuts in his climb up the ladder, and that's what makes him a champion, not some phony belt.
2. Mike Zambidis; Do I really need to explain this?? P4P, best on the planet right now.
3. Gurkan Ozkan; All heart, all the time. Biggest balls in the business.
Reserve: Mark Hunt; He's like a chubby terminator, always comes forward no matter what he's hit with. He deserves to be called the cyborg, not LeBanner, or the terminator, not Alexio.

Sakmongkol is a super welter / light middleweight muay thai legend
He has had around 300 fights and has a win loss ratio of 4:1 , not many other muay thai fighters have a similar win loss ratio
Some of his fights with Sangtien Noi and Orono ( fought each other many times )were unbelievable to watch and his fight against Ivan Hippolyte was great too
Yodecha is a legend in the making , this guy has huge legs like tree stumps and he is only a light welterweight / welterweight
For those who dont know of Samson Dutchboygym , he is currently undefeated WBF boxing champion , He used to fight muay thai but beat everyone in his weight division and many guys in the next 2 weight divisions above his weight division and just found it hard to get competetive muay thai fights around his weight.
Cheers
Drew

Janer no haven't seen Dekker fight live, but hes always exciting.
Sackmongol is propably one of thailand most famous fighter internationally, hes is well rounded, a very strong kicker, straight knees & punches and he elbows so his fights are clean and action packed (not a knee specialist). He fought Sam Soliman on the Thai vs Aus. Card and chased him around for 5 rounds. Also you've heard people say they want to see Ozkan fight international fighters like Perry Ubeda, well Sackmongkol fought and beat him twice once breaking his arm.
Yoddecha Sityotong is from the most famous camp in thailand Sityotong. He is also a well rounded fighter, like Sackmongkol hes not one to continuesly clinch and knee but fights at distance which is good for good to watch.

Sorry Drew didn't see your post. I have a highlight tape of Samson, my god he is one fit little guy, but i'm not a huge fan of his walk up knee style.

hey Traad
I was at the crown casino to see the thai vs oz fights
I was there to support Marcus Maddog Mangan against Sangtien
Damn we trained hard for that fight and it showed as Marcus gave Sangtien one hell of a fight ( and my ribs a good battering in training )
I also met and had a chat to Sakmongkol there , he was my idol and got a great pic with him too
With Sakmongkols fight against Perry Ubeda , he didnt just break his arm , he smashed it , wasnt both bones broken in 2 or 3 places ? I cant remember but do remember it being one hell of a powerful kick
Cheers

I have one of Sakmongkol's Dutch fights on tape. Five roundhouses in a row, great stuff.
Also, I have never heard someone kick the pads like Yoddecha. I would hate to hold pads for that guy!

Yeah Drew the fight were Sackmongkol broke Ubedas arm was i believe 99 Kings Birthday in the opening 20 sec of round 5.
Marcus Mangan was one of my favourite fighters but i think Sangtenoi never went into top gear he simple beat Marcus up with leg kick and thats not Sangtenoi's specialty.

1) Ben Smullen- the guy is the bomb. He has talent, heart and charisma, what more can you ask for?
2) JWP- as bove, this guy is great to watch, he is an entertainer, a fighter and gentleman in one. He is multi-skilled and i feel terribly under-rated in Oz.
3) Mirco cro-cop. He was dissapointing when he was here for the oceania k1, but he is a super-talent. He has since destroyed some great fighters in a variety of forms. This guy is a machine in any form of fighting and would be great to see again.
Cheers- Rickstar.
