Do promoters make fighters? Or do fighters make promoters? I suppose without either parties, we wouldnt know of kickboxing.

Good Example is would Vlad Warton be such a well known promoter if he didnt have Kostya Tszyu as his main fighter?

The same goes for Tarik SOlak. Fighters like:

- Gurkan Ozkan
- Prince Amir
- Tibet Hamza
- Baris Nezif
- Celal Ilhan
- Bader Arafan
- Recep Saka

Without them kicking arse and knocking out every opponet 5 - 10 years ago, would Tarik be where is is today?

The same thing goes with soccer or football. IF the team loses they blame the coach and if the team succeed, they name him coach of the century!

What do you guys reckon is of most importance...?

Do people take much regard of the promoter when buying a ticket or do they attend simply cause of the fighters?

Hey Janer...

Now thats an interesting question bud. At the end of the day if the quality of fighters is not up to scratch then i think that the promotors wear the brunt of negative feedback. And the opposite is the same i guess... If the fighters are top notch. then the promotor's can smile & say look at me, so to speak.

cheers

I definately go to shows for the fighters and the match ups, I couldn't really care less about who the promoter is. One thing I will take into account is the way the show is run, which I believe is largely the promoters responsibility. If it runs smoothly, then credit should go to the promoter.

i agree with harls. i only go to shows to watch good hard fights, could careless who promotes the show. at the end of the day the fighters put there balls on the line<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

I guess if you have quality fighters, the lights/entertainment are a bonus.
