The alway's eratic- Mr Ben Smullen has lost the Ned Kelly beard and opted for the red edition of the gary glitter sideburns. The great man was decked right out at the ultimate show with his wicked and zany hair, falling over his new visor and his new edition sideburns. It is Ben's birthday this week i hear so from everyone at Bacchus Marsh Ultimate Ben all the best mate! Keep us entertained, excited, breathless and speechless with your unbelievable fighting skills, your zest for life and your OUT-THERE approach to a great sport.
Increase the peace,
Rickstar.

Happy Birthday for next weekend Ben. Best wishes buddy.
Hey Rickstar,
I too was surprised by the clean shaven Ben.
Prior to bumping into Ben last night I'd just watched the other bearded fighter Tim West, and was pretty impressed with his beard. There I was thinking of a great Battle of the Bearded guys, only for Ben to come along and ruin my great idea.
Oh Well.

I almost didn't recognise Ben without the beard, he looks totally different without it. Bring back the beard I say!!! Anyway he still rocks.

Yeah i agree, i love the beard.
Ben is australia's modern-day Jesus. The guy just oozes funk and his charisma is something we should encourage the young kids of our sport to adopt. Ben treats it as a sport and respects it as merely that, he does not carry his tough guy image around with him. I wish i could say the same for alot of our other world class fighters but as we seen the other night- " a leopard never loses it's spots". Anyone who saw the incident i am referring to would know what i am talking about. But i guess that is why this guy is one of the most disliked champions of the modern era. That's all!
All i can say is increase the peace, and if god forbids benny, we will make the road-trip up to Shepp on the weekend.

Damn I didn't see any "incidents" the other night, apart from that the little skirmish that went on in the ring, even then I still don't know what went on, probably because every Tom, **** and Harry decided to park their asses in front of me, I couldn't see s**t. True Ben does not appear at all to be an ego manic as a lot of other fighters do these days.

Ben Smullen rocks! He is one of my favourite fighters... Ned Kelly circa 2003! I even got invited to his birthday party this weekend in Shepparton it said: BYO booze, meat for the BBQ and a tent if you want to sleep over or just crash! LOL...
If you're reading, thanks for the invite Ben, sorry I can't make it but it's appreciated! (we are both Aries!)
Best Wishes

Yeah janer-
Ben stopped Minniti with a viscious lead elbow to the forehead. The fight was a corker until then. Ben was very entertaining as usual and Minniti had huge crowd support. It was a good fight but it proved why Muay Thai is soooooooo exciting- It can end in a split second.
P.S. Does anyones know if it is BYO women cause i may have teed a few little hornets up for the road trip! lol

Janer- I think around round 4 (early). I THINK!
Seemed a fairly even fight- smullens landed some nice elbow to the sides of minniti's neck, but other than it was fairly even.
My memory fails to recall all the details, but maybe paul has a pic of minniti's forehead- (it was a real mess). Janer man you would be very impressed.
Increase the Peace. Rickstar.

I have only ever seen Smullens fight 1 full fight. It was against the japanese fighter. I hope to see more of him, cause everyone likes him!!
