Well, the much anticipated fight is finnally on and near enough! I recently watched the Hallford V Tsokonas fight and I did think that the greek kid is really a sharp and tough fighter. He can through his straight punch rather than the trademark looping punches of Ozkan. I am a huge fan of Ozkan but I really believe that Arthur is a HUGE threat since Tibor Vermes. I have read in the other posts that Paul Fyfield is training Ozkan for the fight, my opionin is that you cant teach an old dog new tricks. Ozkan is ozkan, you cant change that. I just hope Ozkan checks his legs and USES them.

My prediction will be an early knockout for Ozkan or Tsokonas will win otherwise. your thoughts?

Janer I agree with you. Ozkan has to to stick to his own plan to win this fight. If Fyfield tries to change ozkans style too much this may weaken his defenses or put him in an uncomfortable zone in the ring. I think it is a bit too late to be teaching Ozkan new strategy for this fight. Maybe if he had 6 months out of the game to change his fighting tactics it would work, but definitly to late for this fight. Why Paul Fyfield and not Bravehearts? Ozkans power is in his hands he has to knock out Arthur. Arthur is all stamina I dont know if Ozkan can keep the up pace if the fight goes the distance. Are there knees allowed? and how many rounds?

Well said guys.
I totally agree about Tsakonas being all stamina.
I just hope we see Ozkan like we did with Jason Vermoa, and not like we did with Hallford and Briggs. By that I mean, I feel Gurkan does best when he goes hard early (mid second rnd), and not leave his number one weapon till too late in the fight. His weapon being his brute hand power.

I've not seen Arthur back off when duking it out centre ring, nor have have I seen it with Gurkan. Both guys have the power to hurt each other, but Gurkan has a proven iron jaw. I didn't see Arthur's fight with Hallford, and don't really know if he's ever taken a hit as hard as what Ozkan can deliver.

It's anyones guess how this one will go, both guys have things going for them. I wouldn't miss it for quids.
From a photographers point of view, I expect it to be the highlight of the year. Some guys are near impossible to photograph because of being unorthodox or quick, lots of footwork or whatever. But all the fights I've been at with these guys involved, they're quite happy to stay centre ring and exchange massive shots.

Gurkan Ozkan his is the best supermiddweight in this country and surely he will have a big win against arthur who i reckon is overated,
and no match for gurkans sheer power which will be a huge problem for arthur in da first 2 rnds thats if it goes for that long i see it gurkan will k.O arthur easily

UMZ, Arthur is a tough nut I think this fight will be very close. Public underestimation of a mans skill leads to damaged credibility.
I must admit it Janer I am a MT man to the bone but youve got me hooked on this one!!

Hi guys

I've put my thoughts and a bit of an analytical preview of OZKAN vs TSAKONAS on the CHEERIO's FOXSPORT thread.

Enjoy...

Michael :)
