Guys,
Does anyone know how many fights Nick Themlakis has had?
I've only seen about 3 I think, but don't know how many he's had all up.
Also, does anyone know stats on Pat Christofi?
I've seen Pat around at lots of fights, but never actually seen him in the ring before, so am curious to find out how experienced he is.

Only a couple of days to go guys,
Is anyone going to make any predictions?
I'm hoping to see what some of you guys that have seen both Pat Christophi and George fight before think.
There should be a pretty big height difference, Pat seems a pretty tall guy. Last time I saw George fight, was the flattest I've ever seen him. Strangely, he looked physically fitter than I've ever seen him as well. I'm sure he's going to go all out and try and win convincingly, but I have no idea to what sort of a fighter Pat is, Puncher, Kicker etc.
I predict Pat Christofi and Evan to win.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow,
Try and make it guys if you don't have anything on.
Also, come up and say hello.
It's good being able to put a face to a name, and all the Blitz forum members I've met so far are a good bunch of blokes.
See you down there.

Hey Guys,
Here are the show results. I hope some of you that went will let us know what you thought of the night. After Tariks last show, we all had so much to say. I know that we're talking different scales here, but regardless many still saw it, and it's allways interesting reading what others thought. The event was an absolute sold out show. People crammed into every little corner.
1. Sonny Vannathy def Mark Safrano first round KO
2. Kris Scharper def Tim West 3rd rnd TKO
3. Andy Thompson def Steven Fanous points.
4. Christian Stackdef Max Kadalan pnts.
5. Michael Haley def Ken Strachan 1st round TKO.
6. Nick Themlakis def Yom Som points dec.
7. Michael Nokes def Mehmet Ceyhan 1st rnd TKO
8. David Ashmore def Thomas Wojkowski poinnts dec.
9. Dustin Deleur drew Corrie Krywula.
10. Joanne Falzon def Luara Glover.
11. Pat Christofi def Allan Humphries 1st round KO.
12. Evan Themlakis def Sot Solominidis.
I thought it was a great show, with some good wars.
Kristian Stack Vs Max Kadalan was a good hard fight.
Some one on this board told us to look out for Justin Deleur. He was pretty good, but so was his oppenent Corrie Krywula. A great fight. Deleur looked as if he had injured his leg early in the fight, and was barely able to walk on it on his way out of the ring.
Falzon Vs Luara Glover was an awesome fight. The best female fight I have seen in a while. Which was good, because I was just complaining to one of Australia's champion Female fighters, that Joanne's last fight was horrible to watch. Opponent being much much taller, and both girls spent too much time grappling. Not this time though, it was full of action in a very well matched fight. My hat goes off to Laura, who with about half the experience was great to watch. She was just landing push kick after push kick on Joanne face, but Joanne giving back loads of hard punches and some wicked body shots. Both girls also landed some nice crisp knees. I thought the fight was very close, and would have had trouble had I been judging.
Christophi Vs Humphries was over pretty quick. Christophi attacked Humphries right thigh to the max. It looked pretty battered with only a minute to bruise up, so I'd hate to see it tomorrow.
Evan Vs Sot.
We also had someone here say that Sot was probably too ambitious a fight for Evan. Man, this fight was awesome. The judges gave it to Evan even with a point deducted, but I thought that with the point taken off that I would have given it to Sot. Sot worked really well in the earlier rounds, with Evan coming back hard in the later couple.
I also want to say, that Evan didn't look his normal self to me tonight. You guys know the killer Evan that moves in and destroys opponents against the ropes with all sorts of work, head shots, inside leg kicks, monster body shots etc. Well, tonight he kind of looked to me like he was concentrating too much and being too carefull in the earlier rounds to what he normally fights like. I don't know if that makes sense, but usually he just seems to move in and not care, this time it seemed different. I don't know if Sot may have stung him earlier and he was just being too precautious or what, but regardless, I've seen Evan look much deadlier than he did tonight, and am still picking him to defeat Stanley on Tariks April show.
Anways, great show and congratulations to John Scida.
I believe the Ultimate shows are going back to Keilor BB Stadium shortly, because this venue really was packed to the rafters. It really is great seeing you guys support this young sport with so much dedication.

Yeah I enjoyed the show except for paying $30 to stand, despite getting there early and trying to look through the backs of people's heads that decided to stand right in front of me later in the night. Last time I payed the same amount and I was allowed to sit on the balcony.
Well the fights were fairly action packed with the female bout and the main event being the highlights for me, though I thought in the main event that Sot controlled most of the fight and definately should have got the decision.

I heard from my mates it was a great night!!! Next time im calling in sick! My mates dont think EVan has any chance against Nandex though...
What is everyones thoughts now with Nandex V Themalakis?

I think Nandex might win after watching Evan fight last night. As Paul C stated in another post, Evan just wasn't himself. Hard to pick a winner between the two, I originally thought Evan would be victorius but after last nights performance, I would be suprised if the Stanley won.

Yeah guys it was me who said look out for Justin Deleur. He is a fairly talented fighter- and so was his opponent. Spoke to the doc after the event and they think that Deleur may have a broken foot (from the second round). But a pretty good night i felt. My thoughts on evan? I am the biggest Themalakis fan (Evan and Nick). But i would have to say that evan's fight was terrible. I think Solomonidis is way below Evan's class and he had trouble getting away with him! I personally thought that when evan lost the point for the spinning back-fist, he would lose the fight. I change my view now on the Themamalakis Vs Headhunter fight. I think Headhunter will beat Evan. I don't know in what fashion but i just think evan may be not quite at that level yet after last nights fights

i train at the ultimate gym and evan was taking it easy and dident want to get hurt and was really smart.his mind was on the fight with stanly. so i bet you all he will open up on stanly and work his hands and feet and chop nandex legs up duth style ERNESTO HOOST!!!!! and also his boxing is way to good for stanly, you got to see evan really open up on his boxing skills, lot of combinations and a hard puncher. his to smart to get cought with a head kick.stanly doensent know how tro check 100% and if you dont know how to 100% and you fight a good leg kicker you will get chopped up. the leg kick is the best weapon head kciks are just gloved easy.

Good point Chops. Must say the female fight was the highlight of the night for me, Joanne's hand skills were looking good on the night and the two girls put on a great show that was clean and technical.
Yeah, Evan might not have been focused but he almost lost himself a main event fight that will be on fox.

Personally I think he was too focused, for the reasons that you guys have mentioned. He does have a big fight coming, and it would have been silly for him to walk into a big shot I guess. That Solimindis guy really was throwing big leather.
Anyway, I just hope he finds the right amount of caution when he faces Nandex. I still think he can do it, and would like to see him step up a level.

I don't think Evan will be stepping up a level to fight Nandex, but stepping up to main event status on a Tarik Promotion. While I feel that Nandex is improving as a fighter, especially with his hands, I don't think he is above Evan's level as a fighter.
