I wished Ozkans stint in boxing was more succesfull. OZkan surely has the power and doesnt look like a intoxicated mongoloid like some fighters Mundine has fought... SOme? Maybe be more than some! lol

This chick parmagiana guy was a natural middleweight... I like mundine for some reason but like he said yesterday "you have to beat the best to be the besT!!"... The best 2 he fought he lost. I.e Ottke and SOliman

Correct me if i am wrong but aren't these guys mates. Thought i heard that Gurkan was sparring anthony in his lead up to the stan fight. I think Australia is a little down on the man because of his big mouth. He is starting to chillout on the heckling a bit now so i think we should get behind the guy and give him some push. I agree the guys he has been fighting arent world beaters but he is beating them very convincingly and with some damn fine skill. Don't forget these guys aren't exactly all chumps, if they were his world ranking would not be where it is. Anyway just my opinion- each to their own but i feel i might get behind this guy he seems to be pulling his head in a bit.

sorry i cant like a supposed champion who ducks fights!! and to add fuel to the fire he talks way too much.. i hate mundine with a passion ..cant wait for green to knock him out!! i mean what kind of champ says if "i lose a fight iam retireing" and he expects people to follow him? if green lost a fight iam sure he would pick himself up and come back twice as good time and time again.. now thats a champion...

Seth,
I think Gurkan said that if he lost he would retire against Jacobs, and Stan also said he'll leave the country if Gurkan won... I think a lot of them just talk trash to hype up the fight.

The way Mundine carries on I think he is more suited to fighting Stone Cold Steve Austin than Gurkan

Seth i think you are a bit harsh on Anthony. I too love the guys who go about their business and let their fists do the talking, but the harsh reality is- Boxing in Australia needs a huge injection of excitement and controversy if it is to survive on a healthy level for much longer. Lets be honest take Kostya Tszyu out of the equation and how long has it been before this proud nation has got behind one of our boxers. The whole game is a **** fight at the moment and to get it back in peoples faces and get crowds to fights we need people like Anthony to trash talk and make the wild predictions otherwise boxing would never even make it to any of our print media.

After all look at almost all of the champion U.S fighters- they are a bunch of loud mouth pigs who say wilder things than Anthony- and they become national heroes for it. We need to stop knocking the tall poppy here and support a success. Seth i would never try and change your opinion on the guy but i just think we need to give these guys a push- so if not for anything else it gives boxing the drive it needs.

Cheers. Rickstar.

G'day boys - good to be back after a layoff

Word from my reliable source is a follows

Yes Ozkan did spar with Anthony in his lead up to the Stan fight - and by all accounts was giving him a good serving.

The inside info is that Ozkan also sparred Mundine to help Mundine prepare for his fight against 'Uncle Arthur' whom he destroyed in the first round. Again from boys who watched the encounter - the feeling was if Ozkan fired up and really let some power punches go - Mundine would be up with the fairies - no doubt about it. For this reason I would doubt we would ever see the two together in the ring - but then again you never know if Tarik gets involved.
