how bout we change this to who we think is ik fighter and trainer
id say preacher or eugene
preacher has had a very busy yeah and coming on top majority of the time
eugenne, well defending his title twice is enough said i think.
trainer id say the boonchu camp. with the likes of thor coming through the ranks nicely and a few other young fellers starting to make a name for themselves from that gym. there has to be more then something in the water.

Hey Kingwaa good call.
My Picks are-
Fighter- Chris White. Another very underrated fighter from WA (Riddlers Gym Perth)
Trainer- Jeab. Sityodtong Vic

Erkan Yildiz & Jemal Hasan
I would have to say Mat Reid for fighter of the year, 9 or 10 fights with only one loss for the year, travelling to thailand to fight twice at the start of the year, won a WMC Vic state title, Had a cracker of a 5 round war with Danial Richards, schooled Ray Gooley and has just recently won Silver for Australia in the IFMA world championships, all while opperating his own business and juggling a family. Not to mention he is a great guy and extremely helpful. Certainly deserved BJC Muay Thai fighter of the year.

I'm a bit biased but I've gotta 2nd Kano's vote.
The changes he's been able to help me make are awesome. The guy works hard for what he's got and makes us work hard too. He's a trainer and a friend

Two years in a row for that one ey Matt?
I don't think they had it last year, but was certainly the previous year.

I reckon you can handle it and atleast it would make a change, seems like Blitz forum should change its name to "Everyone hates USTC1"

I put Joe Hiltons name up there aswell for trainner of the year
He got a lot of great fighter's in his gym
For fighter of the year i would have to say Joel Fisher. Hes taken on some pretty tough guys and living up to his name "fearless" he is exactly that - hes there to fight regardless of who it is....
Trainer of the year....well...mmmm....who should i pick.... ill go with Darren Reece.... he seems to know a thing or two....[:p]

I think either JWP or Eli for male fighter of the year. Heather O'Donnell for female fighter of the year.
Trainer possibly Justin Ayer from Martial Mix, the gym is relatively new to the fight scene but has been extremely succesfull in the short period of time. My other pick would be Darren Reece.

Trainer - even though Vic sucks Justin Ayre, seems to have fighters on nearly every show in Melb, good up-coming crew.
Fighter - Agree with Sarsha JWP has done so much in 07, WMC World Title, spot on Contender, I just hope he gets back in Max,
On a local level, Dimslim, young bloke up-coming star won a nice title.
Maybe we can have a fighter of the year from each State,
Darren Riddler Reece and Caley Lewis
Boom Boom
Pitbull Aram
Chris White
etc
etc

No he helps out most of the 5 rings boy but lets Bull coner some time to
Both do well in the coner
But Richard has it down to a art how to pick apart a fighter so they get the win
Rob Murdoch Jnr and Scott Archer look for them to have a big 2008

to pick trainer of the year you would have to look at the succes rate of the fighters in the gym.... mark pease would have to be at the top of the list with the amount of wins that has come out strike force this year....
fighter of the year is hard, many have already been said so im going with a few, ts2, pixie, preacher, daddy cool for definately his come back win over ben ritter, mat reid to after his awsome performance in the games and eli madigan cant think of a loss this year for him. just a few amatures, brodie smith 2 times aussie champ, kirshal wallace coming back from a big break with an awsome win at beenleigh, taylor harvey has been mixing it up in aussie and over seas, matt mctavish and andrew berridge..
