K-1 WORLD GRAND PRIX
LIVE ON MAIN EVENT
SATURDAY DECEMBER 8, 7pm EDT
BOOK IT NOW!!

This GP card is just STACKED this year and undoubtedly the BEST fight card of any fight promotion on the planet this year... Badr Hari, Aerts, Semmy, LeBanner, Remy, Choi, Sefo, Slowinski, Mighty Mo, Chalid... they're all there.
While all the talk has surrounded the tourney and the two big reserve fights, there are other fights also on the night.
There are three undercard matches:
Don't forget that the K-1's big market at the moment is KOREA with this being beamed live into Korea, so they put some Koreas on the undercard to get the fans to tune in early and hype up HONG MANN CHOI later on.. I mean they are NUTS for Choi in Korea. When he came out to "Korea Pusan" (Korean Win -- the song the crowd sung during the 2002 World Cup soccer) the place just went nuts in Seoul.
Takachi Tashikawa vs Ki Min Kim
Sorry, dont have much info on these guys. Rookie contest. Japan vs Korea.
Mitsugu Noda vs Noel Cadet
Don't know much about Cadet, but have seen a few of Noda's fights. He fought Sawayashiki in a dark match at the Tokyo Dome last year and lost a close decision. In Yokohama in March on that mega card he defeated Cyril Abidi by decision. He's a well put together Japanese heavyweight with 4 wins in 5 fights, three by way of -KO.
Jan "The Giant" Nortje vs Dong Wook Kim
Could be the ugliest match of the night for sure. Jan now trains out of Team Sefo / Ichigeki with Faii, Jayse, Ray, Babu, etc. He hasn't fought since the K-1 HAWAII on April 28 where he beat 7' 1" former boxer Julius "Towering Inferno" Long and was then knocked out by Mighty Mo in the semi's. He then had a Hero's MMA fight against Gary Goodridge which he was winning until Big Daddy knocked him. Dong Wook Kim is a formr Ssireum wrestler from Korea, and quite ****. LAst time out Erhan Deniz bashed him in Hong Kong.
SUPER FIGHT
Musashi vs Soulemain Konate
Musashi has looked good since going to Los Angeles for training and switching back to his "citadel" style of unbreakable defence combined with more aggression in attack. Had a period where he said he thought about not fighting any more and then went to LA and experienced a resurgence which showed at K-1 Hong Kong where he was on fire until the unfortunate groin kicks ended his night. He will be on fire I feel here needing an impressive win. As for Konate, a big Frenchie with 10 wins in 14 fights, 5 by KO. Not sure if he is related to Moussa Konate.
Now add to these undercards and super fights these fights:
LeBanner vs Choi
Feitosa vs Schilt
Hari vs Bonjasky
Aerts vs Sawayashiki
Sefo vs Slowinski
Mo vs Chalid
And you see how there is deliberately something for EVERY market there... we Australian fans get to see our FANTASY MATCH live on MAIN EVENT for the first time ever with Sefo vs Slowinski.
