Because Stan was ripped off. And Greco shocked a lot of people by the way he fought that night (the dirtiest dispaly you will see for a long time)

I was at the Crowning that evening and people keep on saying Greco was fighting dirty.

I don't think it was like that at all, the main kick was clearly thrown before he hit the ground, just like everything else when the underdog wins there are always excuses.

And as for you stathis maybe you should do a little homework before you make any comments cockhe@d

Like Janer Says "What did you expect"

Are you serious Axekick? The main kick was actually a knee, and it was thrown and landed while Stan was on the ground. Watch the tape.

Maybe I have a different tape to you but the knee was not while he was on the ground, he was on his way down though and what greco did was perfectly legal.

do my research???? i was there!!! i bought the tape!!! what else do you want me to do? the result was clear as crystal my friend, stan won! if you realy did have the tape you would not have said your stupid remark. does anybody know how to show footage on this site to proove it once and for all to those people who have not seen it? robberies happen all the time in all sports this is just one of them in our sport!

p.s sorry to have upset you axekick, or should it be dropkick! LOL!

couldn't resist, sorry pal! All's good!

Hmmm. I must really be missing something, because Stan was clearly on the ground to my eyes. Having your arse and back on the ground and your upperback supported against the bottom rope qualifies as down doesn't it? If not then I guess fighters can take a swing at their opponents while they're on their knees? If it wasn't a foul why was a point rightly deducted? Has anyone seen this fight to confirm what I'm saying? Or is my memory that blank and Stan was still on his feet so the knee was legal as axekick says.

It would be interesting if all that have seen the Sam and greco fight post the way they scored it. Don't view the fight as a whole but score the rounds.

1. stan 10 - greco 10
2. stan 10 - greco 9 after the point deduction
3. stan 9 - greco 10

total 29-29, that's how i scored it

I just dug it out and watched it again, some parts in slow motion. Stan had one knee on the ground when he got knee'd by Greco.
I was dissappointed with both their actions. Including Stan's shoving his fist into Greco's face. I don't know the full story, regardless I didn't like either of their actions.

1 Stan 10-9 Clearly outscored Sam
2 Stan 10-9 Even and untidy round, Greco point loss for foul
3 Even 10-10 Stan had one good flurry, Greco landed a coule knees, even
