who were some of the best figters and trainers in w.a. in ealy days. remember fighters like sean ferraz lance chipchace. trainers like rod stroud mark jones etc

damien was one of the best. there was other good fighters like jason skinner, wayne duncan, simon jones, jullian sizzon, alan newbold, just to list a few.

oliver was good. there was lots of great fighters in early days. phil conway was another geat fighter as well. damien "swinger" meyer vs robbie moore was the first muay thai fight in australia many years ago at beconnsfield hotel in fremantle. some may debate that.

Vance are you still training? If so, where abouts and do you train MMA now? From memory your school used to do some shoot wrestling?

Blair Smith & Darren Curovic,the only two Aussies that have defeated world champ Ekkelboom. Darren Reece,the first fighter to highlight the big difference between Bjc "muay thai" & Thailand muay thai.

Oliver Olsen is still teaching and training at the West Australian Thai Boxing centre. This guy is the sparring champ, at 34 yrs of age still ripped as and still sparring everyday with anyone who walks into the gym. It just makes me sick ha ha

Oh!! How could we forget the man who taught me everything I know and bought us true Muay Thai, Mr Muay Thai himself Phon Martdee still going strong with his gym and promoting shows.

any1 remember 80s 90s fighter dominic delnghy,he was an above the waist fighter but his arse went when low kicks came in (in them days they used to say low kicks sort the men from the boys)anyway 2 year ago he came out the closet,hes gay,would that make him the 1st gay champion.
